my daughter in law had a Mitsubishi eclipse, it was actually pretty fast. I think it might of had a turbo.

I wouldn't be a bit surprised if the whole company pulled out of North America. Matter of fact, there has been rumor to that effect for these last few years.
Last year, the whole Mitsubishi display at the Chicago Auto Show could have been put in my back yard. And that ain't that big. The traffic thru it? People were walking by it to get to the other auto makers.
Honest opinion? Buy something else.
