I think I'm beginning that whole pari/pre menopause stage. My doctor (female) says it's too early. I started menstruating at 11 and for the last year or so my period has become irregular. It will fluctuate between a 21 day cycle one month to a 28 day cycle the next. I will experience some insanely heavy/clotty days to barely anything at all. Or I'll bleed normally for 3 days then it will stop for a couple days then start right back up again. I've even missed a month here and there.
I'm not sexually active (I don't know if that matters) and have had a fairly regular cycle all these years til now.
My mother went through menopause at 50.
Any ladies start experiencing symptoms this young??

Nope not too early...i believe its the start of it but could be still some years.
I had simular situations, but when you're active in exercise...you flow will be light...and may not last the whole duration of your period.
This ive noticed even before i turned 40.
Also...eating right helps ..if you eat heavy, lots of sugar and carbs...peroids become irregular too and will cause heavy flo.
So i try and watch what i eat..and try to be active in exercise.

I started in my early 40's (maybe even late 30's). I got to have all the fun during my 30's - hot flashes, trouble sleeping, etc.
Everyone varies. Don't worry.

I was in my early 40's. I was in nursing school and thought the stress was messing up the periods... stress and menopause... they can take blood and tell if you are... either way you should see a gyne soon. my only side effect was hot flashes. I didn't take supplements...

I had a hysterectomy a few years ago. I experience hot flashes but part of that could be because of my disability. My doctor told me that since I still have my ovaries that I should experience menopause at the normal age range which is between 45 - 55. Sometimes it can happen to you in your 30's or 40's or may not occur until a woman reaches her 60's. It varies from woman to woman. Women who have dystonia don't look forward to menopause because they aren't sure how it will affect their dystonia symptoms.

See your doctor; he/she will provide you with the help you need. Don't accept HRT...is
dangerous. There are natural products that can help you but check with the doc first.

Why this issue -menopause- is so unknown to so many women? Why the school system doesn't talk / teach about this normal part of women's lives....why the same school system doesn't talk / teach about andropause...which is a normal change in men' s lives?
When the ignorant taboos will be placed aside for the benefits of mankind?

Nope not too young I have a coworker who is 44 and she complains about hot flashes I think she is going through menopause. Now mid 20's - 30's might be too young I think.
