Who has tried Windows 10 and if you did, do you like it? Is it better than say Windows 7 or 8?

I got a notification on my computer about a month or so ago- and it's set to download when it becomes available (on July 29th). I don't think there is anywhere (sites) that you can try it out.

Someone on my Facebook page says he has it already. I thought it was free to download. I guess he must have the preview version. You're right, the full version will be available at the end of July.

I just downloaded it this evening and so far, so good. It will take getting used to though. I think I lost all of my bookmarks but I'm sure if it was anything important, I will find it again.

Same here. Dell has 2 accounts for me. I was having trouble with my email, so the tech guy gave me another account. Once I upgraded to 10, I didn't have the issue anymore. When I opened the old account, everything was there. So, it was my mistake, not the program.

I loaded it on 2 laptops and my desktop at work. I am digging it so far.

It is a more refined windows 8.1,

I have to use classic shell to make it more windows 7 like as far as the start menu but it I like it and the price is right.

I like it, too. I've been using it since it came out. And, you're right, the price is right.

I have it and i like it. You can still set your oc to the same windows 8 tiles but it defults looking like windows 7 but all your icons will look new and fresh. The internet explorer is great. you now can highlight ...etc

I always wait for at least SP2, Microsoft releases early and fixes bugs as they go. Windows 7 is fine for now.

I don't think I'll be getting it any time soon. I might have to for work, but on my personal machine, I really don't trust it or Microsoft at all. It's looking like the trend is "lets download all our user's data."

I too was thinking of getting Windows 10 as it is free it says for my computer, but they are saying that will not be come July. Anyway am I understanding this right...there is not restore on Windows 10 so if you need one you are out of luck.
Meaning my computer no longer will work? Is that right. If so ...it seems more of a problem. I just don't want to wait to long and have to pay...and the discontinue Windows 7. Would appreciate.

Just to let you know as long as you have the basic hardware support Windows 10 there is fundamentally little difference between 10 and 7 with the exception of the live tile system in the start menu and Cortana. If your the forgetful type Cortana can be your new best friend, as it can create reminders for everything from appointments and birthdays to medication, as well as finding places and events of interest to you. You do need to have a microphone, and Microsoft account "free" to fully use Cortana though.

Also really liking the PIN for a password feature as if the PIN is wrong 3 or 4 times it will lock the system down as opposed to allowing someone to brute force their way in to your system.

Ive ran it for months now without issue, "newer hardware though" I've heard people having issues with some onboard video chips one being Nvidia Nforce 6000 series, yet there are workarounds for that as well if you google it.

11 more days will be the anniversary update that's when it will allegedly cost you $119 if you haven't upgraded already.

I don't like it, way too much bloatware to me and when I initially upgraded, and try to reinstall previous software, most wouldn't install.

I didn't like Windows 10. My best friend didn't like it. My sister didn't like it.

It took Microsoft 30 years, but the new Start menu, Edge browser, apps and Cortana make Windows 10 the best Windows yet. Plus, it is very easy to reset win10 login password with the default app like UUkeys: http://www.uukeys.com/bypass-windows-7-8-10-password.html
