I know that it is a little early to start this thread. However I feel the need to
pay homage to former Islanders coach Al Arbour who died today at 82.
Arbour, who coached the Islanders for 1,500 games and 4 championships!
Last year it was announced that Arbor was suffering from Alzheimers!
Islanders, I still hate you for beating my Pens twice in the playoffs!

No the player whose contract they voided. All I know is that when he was in Canada
they found some painkillers on him. The union has filed a grievence against
the Kings.

Mike Richards, caught with Oxycodone. The Los Angeles Kings terminated Richards's contract in late June for what they called "a material breach of the requirements" of his contract

he probably had a prescription for them. But they where not in the prescription bottle. So because of that it's considered a crime. This happens alot n its usually a fine if your record is clean. I haven't talked to him since round February. I know him from Philly. What's weird is that Carter hasn't said anything. They been buds since Jr's the kings probably told Carts to keep his distance. My friend use to go out w Carter when he played in Philly. The kings found a loop hole to get outta the contract

Babc*ck overrated ? You FOOL ! You must have that " I WANT TO BE A RED WINGS FAN " ENVY ....... Look at his whole career ..... Now back to the original question , Edmonton is going to be a beast in the West in a few short years . As for Toronto give Shanny and Babc*ck a couple years ........ GO WINGS !!!!!!!!!

Fool? Sorry im not look at the players he had for yrs. He's not out scouting these guys. The red wings have always drafted well. Way before Babc*ck. Late round gems always seem to find the wings. That's not all Babc*ck doing this. We shall see if he's as good as everyone thinks he is now. The leafs are a mess he will have to construct a team ground/up.I think he gets way to much credit as a coach. Look at torts had incredible talent in Tampa wins a cup n gets fired shortly after. Finds his way back into coaching. Makes a huge impact w the rangers. Had alot of talent there also. But ultimately fails because he's a nut lol. Babc*ck isn't the same person but just n example. Babc*ck has alot of work to do there. I don't think he'll be there more then 4 or 5yrs.

My Pens team has many players who suffered severe injuries coming back for this season.
Lets start with Pascal Dupuis. He had to miss most of last season due to a blood clot in his leg! The Pens sure missed him on the ice.
next is Ollie Matta. Last season was one of illness and injury. After coming back from a bout with cancer I believe he soon injured his shoulder and was lost for the season.
Then comes Kris LeTang. First he suffers a stroke then comes back and he also suffers
a shoulder injury!
Both of these players are major players on the defence. Also this team lost
D-man Paul Martin to free agency to San Jose!

I really don't count the 1st 10 games in the season. After bout 10 that's when you see what every team kinda will be for the yr. As a flyers fan I hate the pens lol. Kessel should score 40 at least. He is like adding James Neil few yrs back. The pens problem is the blue line. Good young talent there. But are they ready?

Why do all ny sports teams in any sport have to face the cap while take Florida for one there's no state tax and housing is cheaper...all I hear and read the rangers, Devils and isles or is that Brooklyn now have cap problems signing the best FAs available in many stars...take basketball in Florida they won championships helped by no state taxes...why else play there...Fuhgeddabouit

The Rangers are the only one of your four professional sports teams who have a chance to win a championship during your lifetime so don't you dare give up on them. The other four professional sports teams in the New York area don't have a chance either to win a championship. Yes Hank, I said this because either the Dodgers or Cubs will beat you! (I HOPE!)

I think that the Caps are the dominate team in the NHL right now.
Solid goaltending, they have depth on defense and they can score.
Something many teams are struggling to do except for Chicago.
