I have sent messages to people around me that I am interested in, but have had a very low response. I don't message those obviously fake profiles with the email in the picture. Generally my messages have varied in size from 1-3 sentences expressing interest in something in their profile(question or comment), 'clever' comments, simple greetings and some other approaches. There are not very many people in my area on here typically. I have changed my profile summary and narrowed or expanded my interests, but have always been honest. I have noticed occasionally people changing their profile after i message them to- over 6ft, not bald or blacks only lol. I think its is just the way I look, but would appreciate some feedback. Put a couple of substantial photos of yourself on your profile.
That would give them an idea of how well you clean up..
Make sure you have a shirt on in your main pic.
Also, you have yourself listed as a liberal agnostic, make sure you pay attention to that when it comes to the ones you message.
For example-I'm a conservative Catholic....I wouldn't answer a liberal agnostic back because that combo tells me we would not be like-minded.

How about: This site doesn't attract the best of ppl.
I met 4 ppl from here so far(alcohol fueled), one of which unfortunately I put my d*ck in(the first one). The other 3 were either-- trying too hard/stupid/crazy(not in a good way)/looked much better in profile pics or some combination of the 4. So we only fooled around.

Hogasman-- Unfortunately, nobody is saying anything of interest except for the 70 year old datehookup forum troll and when I read your post; that is what comes to mind(repressed homosexuality or just a sad sad old man). I thought I made that clear? I am not entirely sure you are what you say you are though. I would like to think that someone 70 years old would have experienced --personal growth/introspection-- at some point, but stranger things have happened.

No thanks. I figure I'd stick with your posts and correct your punctuation, usage, and grammar this time. The first sentence needed a comma. The second sentence is constructed so poorly that it seems beyond the need for correction.

I'd appreciate if you could rewrite my posts with correct grammar, spelling and punctuation. I am a little unclear about the first sentence. I like ".." where it is.. Punctuation when I am writing off the top of my head gets screwed up. For instance; I might have written your first sentence like this: No thanks; I think I'll stick(insert rest of sentence). That feels better to me. Also I think you're missing a comma in your third sentence around "so poorly". I might have added an extra o or 2 to "so"(soo), in order to emphasize just how poorly my second sentence was indeed written.The extra o is not the correct spelling; to which, I am very aware. But, what do you think? Could I have skated with an extra o on so? Almost too risky to think about.
Don't get lazy with that second sentence! Be thorough. Rewrite it! Thanks!

Even though this cesspool of a site has 'hookup' in the title, there are actually some women who are here for the 'date' part. If you present yourself as a shirtless player, they will not respond.
Close up smiling head shot is your main priority.
Other than your income, answer the stats honestly.
Give them something to read once they get past the rest of it. You're 30 years old, you must enjoy something - your Interests give us some clues (kung fu) but if you add a line about it your viewer can get a sense of your personality.
Quirky? meaning what? The type of women you will find here will be a bit gun-shy by the time you message them and it may come across as 'kinky'. If that's what you intended, leave it. If you meant something else, use your words, big boy.
Once you get a profile worth looking at, try Plenty of Fish. There is a slightly better psycho-to-normal ratio over there.
It sounds like you have the right idea for the messages, though.

I meant quirky as in; has unusual behavior. I see how it could be considered ambiguous. I had no idea that anyone associated kinky and quirky.
I started a profile a week or so ago in POF. The clientele seems just as you said. There are more people as well. All of your tips were covered prior to even seeing your post! Good Affirmation!
It's hard for me to do things half assed. My profile might be a little long on POF. I really need to work on summarizing and key points. My interests are many and vary often. The doctor says I have ADHD.
I know I shouldn't feed trolls, but what do we really know about trolls? What types of trolls are there? How are they born? How do we kill them? More importantly, how do we prevent them? Experimentation is needed to produce these answers.

OP, your photos are qorky, but hey that shows personality. I personally like qorky.
You spent some time writing a profile, shows effort. They gray background made it challenging for me to read, but I don't have the best eyes.
Overall, not bad. Looks like you just being you. Perhaps a thought out message to the ladies should be your focus? Something personal to let them know you took the time to read their profile.
