my dog doesn't like touching the ground, water, or snow. She loves to curl up with either her coat or jacket on
My male cat figured out how to use the litter pan without getting in the cage where it is kept. He sat on top and peed through the bars. Is it just a challenge for males to find a different way to pee?

A person that has left his Husky chained up outside for over ten years just passed away. The family has at least posted him on facebook asking if anyone will take him before they take him to the pound.
This poor boy needs love and deserves a better life. We are going to take him.

theres some beautiful,loving dogs at the Humane society...no matter what age.

I read a recent story on a dog that somehow jumped the family's electric fence to chase a wolf that kept prowling the home.
it killed the wolf,but limped back home with a leg injury. it didn't know how to get back over that fence,and after several attemps...the shock killed the dog. how sad!!

it killed the wolf,but limped back home with a leg injury. it didn't know how to get back over that fence,and after several attemps...the shock killed the dog. how sad!!
I read a similar one where the dog was carried off by coyotes. It tried to return home but couldn't get back in the electric fence. It was alive when they found it but died later.
Electric fences are not good, especially for Huskies. It will not stop them and they keep nothing out of the yard.

K-9 Krijger in Norfolk losing his life in the line of duty.
his funeral was yesterday. they did the procession just like they do for human officers. there were k-9 units from all over the place in the area yesterday to honor him. he was shot a couple of weeks ago bringing down a male who had been holding family captive.
In Krijer's honor, they have done a fundraiser to get bullet-proof vests for every dog on the force in Norfolk. I hope they are able to raise the money to help more of the dog officers in this area, we do have a lot of them, both military and police forces

Now they have enough to help neighboring jurisdictions do the same.

Yes, they have been reporting it about daily. But the majority of the K-9 officers in this area won't be protected until that fundraiser raises enough money. That hasn't happened yet. Only Norfolk officers will be protected until then

I got a message on FB from a guy I dated on and off for 2 years.
He was ripped, fit, handsome and just a nice looking guy....very normal and kinda square.

herbie, on the same topic. Newport News K-9 units are now funded for getting the vests for all of their dogs. Norfolk and Newport News have the funding to date. Still leaves 5 of the cities to get funding.

The normal dog owner spends hundreds of dollars of dollars a year on vet bills to protect their dogs. I highly doubt the officers pay a dime to a vet. If they love their dogs then buy them a vest, its a tax write off anyways. Remember they volunteered for k9 duty so protect your dog , bunch of whiners

do you have a clue as to how much each vests costs? They run between $5,000 - $20,000. They are not anywhere near as cheap as the vet bills for the K-9. I am speaking as a person who HAS paid the bills for K-9 officers at one of the places I worked. And, trust me, you don't want the cheap ones for this.
