Hi,
I'm a 55 year old male and was contacted by someone in my local area who wants to meet me.
On her profile it says she is 49, but after a few messages, learning her name and doing some research I find out she is 57.
I am not so much concerned about the age difference as I am about her not putting her correct age on her profile.
We are talking about meeting for drinks.
What would you do at this point?

People are often leery of putting all of their correct info in a profile, so give her the benefit of the doubt and see what happens.

Meet up with her anyway. Then decide afterward. Many women after 50 years old lied about their real age because they are old. Ask motara, he said lots of women lied to him about their age, they are always a lot older than they said they are.
They lied about their age because they think you won't come out to meet with them if they said they are really an old granny with lots of wrinkles & they want to meet you. I understand the reason behind why they lied but I don't condone it or agree with it.
Women tend to lie about their weight, income, education & age.
Men tend to lie about their height, income, education. Maybe age if they are over 60 years old & going after a woman that is in her 30's & under.
Rich men married women that are 20 to 30 years younger than they are because they have money.
If she told you the truth & said she is really a 57 year old granny with lots of wrinkles, would you have agreed to come out and meet her? Probably not. This is why women lied about their age.

Not a big deal to me, just throwing it out there to get different perspectives.
Personally If I didn't put my correct age on my profile I would certainly let someone know before meeting them.
Maybe that's why I'm still single???
