People who can't spell or type in complete sentences completely turn me off. Actually, they drive me completely bonkers.

Yea like people who write their profile in text speak. Come on, show some literary sense!

Bothers me to see someone say he is a few pounds heavy but when he shows up, that few pounds ends up being 75 or more. Hey, I have dated large guys that I really like, but I don't like waiting for someone who has a few extra pounds and he shows up farrrrr heavier. I prefer the truth in the beginning.

Okay everything about this profile turns me off:

Married looking for a FB or long term affair with local women. But they make you fill out the profile so much that you gotta add 3 to 4 sentences. What a waste, why are they calling it datehookup? Like Duh, what do they think we are looking for a mental challenge, some interesting conversation, read any good books lately? Who did ya vote for, hopefully not the idiot who was elected....

I didn't post a photo because I'm in transition and I just recently moved to this area but I don't consider not having a photo on my profile as hindering or blocking any of my relationship attempts: Why? Because most people get on these sites first because they're lonely and looking for a companion or friend to hang out with.

Most people don't express themselves enough outside of their workplaces for anyone else to even get to really know them anyways. A lot of people are really guarded about just building friendships or for that matter any relationships because they've been hurt so many times before, why should you open yourself up to another person when all they're going to do is crush your spirits, right?

I come to defend the person that is nice, honest, goodlooking, without a photo on profile, a hard working person with a great work ethic, focused, stable, goal oriented, and progressive since everyone believes that just because you don't have a photo on your profile you must be hiding something. I beg to differ from that opinion.

I'm a believer that a picture can not speak, especially a thousand words. A picture will only produce an image of something and then your senses will produce a perception about that picture according to your background, environment, and education.

So, my turn off's about most profile's is that: 1. Most assume that since you don't have a picture you must be hiding something. 2. You're already judging that person for something they don't even have. 3. Words are very powerful and we should learn to use and communicate with our words greater than we have before. 4. Just because you can't see a picture of someone doesn't mean you can't have a fulfilling relationship with that person regardless of how they look, now that's true friendship and a real relationship. And 5. Some pictures are better than others but if you're almost a compatiable friend or companion then have courage and take some kind of risk with someone without a photo online, you might be surprised. You can't always judge a book by it's cover.

And what is the big issue with sex anyway. I would appreciate to know what exactly a woman is looking for when it comes to sexual issues especially with her profile. If I'm looking for sex at least I'm straight forward and let you know in advance so you know that's what I'm looking for but don't get offended because that's in someone else's profile and that's what they're looking for. You know almost everyone in world has sex. I get tired of the profiles that try to hide behind the screen and aren't truthful with themselves or others. At least be able to express yourself so that others can see you in the light that you see yourself. Narrow your search down to what you prefer.

I can somewhat see your point but when I see someone who has viewed my profile and he has no photo up, I always ask them "why did you make it a point to contact me?\

You know what they say?...'I liked the way you look in your pictures.'

So if you get to choose to contact me because you like my looks, you need to offer the same courtesy to me. Call me shallow if you wish, but if I get to like you because I like how you talk and your ideas and how you relate to me and then I see you and you have characteristics that I do not at all like, you may be out of here in 3 minutes, because there are some faces that I just cannot make a go with. And I think that is legitimate.
