Allow me to clarify something. The exact percentage taken from me is 25.78%. This translates to just over $5000/year in taxes. Do the math. I survive, as a homeowner, on about $1,200/month.
And I can bank about $500/month, out of that. Cost of living in my area is 29.3% LOWER than National Average.
Cost of Living for Warren, OH is around $14,200/year.
Because of taxes, I can barely make above that. I am sick of paying taxes, to support women popping out kids and getting free shit, while working 0 hours per week and generating $0.00 of income tax revenue for the State. If you think for one minute, I am going to agree with paying for YOUR student loans and stupid, uneducated decisions, think again.
I could live like a king, on the meager salary I have. I have to get out of debt, myself.
My frustration has nothing to do with "fair". I learned a long time again, LIFE IS NOT FAIR. Apparently, you failed to learn that lesson.
My frustrations are watching my 138 IQ and my acquired skills being wasted because I am not a company "yes" man or a corporate kiss ass, and employers won't hire someone based on their skills, unless they have certifications from an expensive school.
My job is very easy, and for all the more physical work I actually have to do, I am overpaid. For the knowledge of laws, and how to handle shipping/receiving bills of lading and properly know how to inventory the commercial driver's freight, I am well underpaid.
And I was born into a very wealthy family. My family, unlike most American families, didn't just buy me everything I wanted and hand me money like it grew on trees. I was working on cars and tearing down engine's at my grandpa's salvage yard, by the age of 14, to earn spending money. My family taught us the value of hard work. My family is worth literal millions of dollars, invested in that salvage yard.
I was dealt a shitty hand, but I am playing the hand I have been dealt. I am not worried about the deck possibly being stacked against me, because regardless of how you stack it, the deck will run out of cards to draw, eventually. And when it does, I will be the one holding the strongest hand.
And why should I care about people that have starving kids? Maybe those people should have considered that it costs an average of $300,000 to pay for childcare from age 0, to age 18, in the United States of America. If you can't feed yourself, maybe you shouldn't worry about procreating until you can support yourself.
Of course, when the Feds take all MY EARNED INCOME and hand it to starving people for FREE, they will continue to pop out kids, because psychologically they know that having a child they can't afford will get them free handouts from the government.
Come up to Warren, OH and you'll see exactly what I am talking about. Women getting $800-900/month in tax free child support, free college and trade schooling, extra cash assistance for being in GED courses, free housing through the THMA, free healthcare(that is added to the child support amount taken from the father each pay period), and food stamps.
And when you see those sluts driving around in brand new Chevy Cruzes and Ford Fusions, while you are working 40+ hours a week, to drive a rustbucket that is only still running because you know how to keep it maintained, you will realize the problem IS government handouts and being "FAIR".
If that $5000/year in taxes wasn't taken from me, every year, I could pay for a 4-year degree in cash.

I live in New York City the cost of living here is very high, I pay $25,000 a year in tax, my mortgage is $20,000 a year, then there is food car insurance and other expenses in New York City if you make $30,000 or less you're considered the Working Poor

On the very last pages, you will see the IRS reported income sources and their outlays(expenses) for 2015. 42% of ALL government spending went to social assistance and welfare. What percentage went to Law Enforcement and Military?
You will also note, that because Social Security is a separate tax, the expenses are also listed separately. So, combine social security and welfare, and you will come up with a whopping 63% of the entire federal budget.
Try taking some accounting courses, and learn how to read, before you respond ignorantly on this issue. I have been looking at those charts, since the age of 16, when I first started doing my own taxes.

And apparently, you seem to have overlooked how Obama wants to expand government handouts, to freeloading bums and single moms and illegal immigrants to over a total of $4 trillion.
By the way, $16 billion is exactly 4% of $4 trillion.
For those of us that paid attention in math class and algebra, a TRILLION is a "1" with twelve zeroes to the right of it.
A BILLION is a "1" with only nine zeroes to the right of it.
A substantial difference.
and the national trade deficit is over $19 trillion. The federal budget, had you actually looked at my PDF, was actually just under $4 trillion and left a deficit of $485 billion.
