Define what "Chemistry" means to you, without knowing how you define it, it's pretty hard to make general assumptions on how anyone else can view the interactions between you & your date(s). To have a better understanding of what I mean, allow me to use an analogy with the word "Normal." In the courts they don't use the word 'normal' anymore, rather they use "reasonable" instead. Normal is too general, in some cultures it's normal to get into your personal space & just stare at you, in other cultures, it's normal to pierce themselves, or put weights in their lips or body parts, or eat exotic foods (dogs, cats, insects, reptiles, etc). So the question is "What would the reasonable person do..." it's more defined. So how you define "chemistry" can mean something totally different from one person to the next.
For me, there are basically four kinds of chemistry between dating partners (physical, emotional, mental, and spiritual). Physical chemistry generates desire. Emotional chemistry generates affection. Mental chemistry generates interest. Spiritual chemistry generates love. A soulmate or perfect partner has all four.
A soulmate is someone who truly understands us, they know how we will react or respond, and in so doing they can bring out the best or the worst in us. A perfect person is by no means perfect; it's just that they are perfect for us. And no one is perfect until we fall in love with him or her. Search for someone who has most qualities & common interests to which you are seeking & you will increase your chances of finding true happiness. It can be from the first moment you set eyes on each other, since the eyes are the windows to the soul, or perhaps it's their gentle smile, or their voice that just captivates us or their mannerisms, the list goes on…
I'm sure there are a lot more cues than just "chemistry" including, is their body language in sync with what they're saying, or are they one of those rare people who ask how we are and then wait to hear the answer? Or are they the type of person who reaches for your hand & touches your heart? What is it about this person that first draws your attention to them? Perhaps they are like a true friend, someone with whom you dare to be yourself... Is this the person you would just die meeting again? No???? Well if you can't be with the one you love, then love the one you're with...
