having all the responsibilities makes it tuff sometimes.get little time.my daughter's 14 and pretty independant so it's not an issue.

2 boys--7 & 8 ... very hard to date because i dont want them involved. guys dont get that.. i keep a distance between the 2 parts of my life.. if a guy wants to be that serious then he will be patient too... right??

I agree, and when you do finally go out on a date and your date finds out that you have a child, they automatically think or assume that they have to take on that roll to be the other parent to that child, when tech.they shouldnt assume and then they get scared off. does anyone know what i am trying to get at here?!

I know exactly what your trying to get to......but ya know...I have never felt like that.....I have kids of my own.....I am already someones father......now if things got real serious with someone and we actually got together...I would totally not treat theirs any diff than mine...just my opinion

i agree with you on that, but i need to know who he is first... he needs to know who i am ..
way before the kids even get involved.. i think that if he really wants to be with me then he will accept the fact that i am very protective when it comes to my babies. As a mother should be.
i wouldnt want to meet anothers kids early into a relationship-- makes me feel like i am being rushed.

I find it hard to date because not only do I not really have the time for it very often, I don't get out alot by myself to meet ppl and the only ppl I allow to watch my kids are their grandparents. But I am a proud parent and wouldn't change a thing. They take up all my time, and I like it that away.

hi there i have been a single parent since my daughter was 8 years old she is now 21, last year of college, i allways dated when she was with her dad every other weekend. now since she has been away, i have all the freedom i want its just finding the right guy!!!! but no matter what my daughter comes first so just be patient and it will all work out...

I had dated from time to time but raising two Boys by myself left little time for anything but work and homelife. Now that they're older i honestly want to do things i want to do.. you could say i had to stop being me when i was 25.. now if i met a woman who shared the same interests..... that would be a good thing!

its tought but not as bad for me,Why bcuz i don't date much since i been single i been on 2 dates and thats in the last 11 mos, i have male friends and event they aren't allowed around my kids,Why bcuz like some one else said on here, they think they have to step in and play daddy or something.
Also im picky about who i Have or let be around my kids and my Girl's are honestly spoiled. also im always thinking about them even when im out with friends or on a date, are they ok,do they need anything, i hope they dont get in to anything or get hurt, and Yup im that momma that calls and checks up on them.
Dating i think is hard cuz i think I MAKE it hard, i have high standards specially when it comes to meeting my kids and if BIG if i'm sure we're gonna be having sex,it wont be in my house, I have yet to ever bring another mana round my kids besides their dad! maybe its me maybe theres something wrong with me. lol
I really think I make it hard for a guy to date me and get close to me period, its not so much trust but i dont trust no one around my kids , im picky and so are my kids, even like i said when it comes to friends, i have friends or associates that can't come to my home or be around my girl. Do you think it matters if I had boys? some one said thats why im so picky
i don't know cuz i aint got any boys/ I wonder what you think?

HI im lane and im a 24 year old mother.And i find that its hard to get my friends to be ok with me talking about my son instead of men and shopping when i hangout with them. seens im 24 and they love to go clubing and i love staying home and watch my son dance.lol the weaird thing is that my friends have children also but they dont act like parents. And i find that dating is really hard also but someday i hope to find a guy who ok with me being a mother.

I can't even find a man to date and I have an AWESOME sitter she has kept my kid for the last 6 yrs. and often comes by just so I can go have a few drinks with some friends and get out. I would love to go on a date but gotta find a man to date me first.
