Pretty much so I'm afraid. If you are quiet or shy... that's about it... Men my age are looking for women half my age. It isn't that life is over, I guess we just have to accept being alone & finding things to keep ourselves busy.

I don't think it's over at 60. Even though I'm not there yet. I did date a guy that was 62 and that man had a LOT of life in him.
I figure when I hook up with a partner I'll have another good 20-35 years!!! Even if the last few are in a rockin' chair. I guess at that age holding hands and a peck on the cheek has a whole new meaning.

It could and sometimes does. It also could be the end at 43 or 12 or 103. We never know when our time is up until it is.

Maybe I can give you an answer next year if I'm still around? Ben divored sence I was in my thirys and very use to being alone but my life is very full so far with no reasion to know that will change? Would I like a secial relationship with a wonderfull lady "yes" but if it don't happen I will still be loveing and enjoying life hopefully. I allways take a pass on the overnighters & short timer's desire one that will stick!! If not I am happyest alone!!!!

What???? it ends after 60.Why didn't someone tell me??? no, I am alone but not lonely and if by chance I am still alone when this life is over and I hope it is a long time coming, well then I guess I will be flirting with some goodlooking male angel.

you know after reading some of these replies I think I am going to put in for AARP. Can anyone tell me what that means anyway. I tore up all those letters because I thought they mistook me for some old person but now I am not so sure.

I would doubt very much if my life ends next month. I think it is more your mind set then your age. If you believe that you are done at 60 then you will be. If you believe you will continue to learn, grow and enjoy life then you will.
Then you have to talk about what is ending. You mean your sex life? You being attractive to the opposite sex? Your ability to learn, share or love? What is ending?
I have a friend that married a 17 year old at 70. That was four years ago. Never seen two people more in love and happy with each other. Makes me tired with just the hint of their sex life.
If you keep yourself well groomed, clean and well mannered, there is ALWAYS someone that will find you attractive.
The amazing thing about us humans it that we always have the ability to learn, to share those lessons and to be able to love. That never goes away, we just choose not to use it sometimes.
Life does not end, some of us just decide to give up.
