fab,
I would think that being a good sized city that Augusta is, you would not have to relocate. Many who reside in small towns do need to contemplate that option, though, if they do find someone special who lives a distance away.
Being retired, my options are more open and accessible than some, and I am not tied down to one particular area. Even though I reside in Florida, I love the snow and change of seasons.
Just don't limit yourself to a mileage chart, as Mr. Wonderful could be just around the corner or in Fumbuck, Kansas.

I have set my profile to invisible, I want to give it a rest awhile. I am being inundated by thoughts of my wife both day and night, now she is appearing at the foot of my bed, and people with whom I have worked, who are now gone, are appearing also in my dreams as a group. I am a believer, in both the power of God and the power of Satan, and until I get it resolved, I can not let go of my marriage and past life.

"hereto" Surely you have demons of your past that you feel you have wronged in some way and clearly can not move forward. I simply do not believe that anyone who has passed would wish only but happiness for me with the life that I have left.JMO
I know these forums can be addictive but also fun to be on and everyone deserves some laughter in their lives. When you join a dating site you're saying that you're willing to be open-minded and take that chance for happiness if it comes along not necessarily changing who you are or where you've been. Whether it is to become friends/dating/lovers/marriage/long term relationships/or just talking in the forums, I find it's the "new" bar scene in which I was never a fan. So, I feel no need to make myself invisible nor a shadow for any reason even for scammers/players or people who disagree with my opinions. Everybody has them, doesn't necessarily mean we're all right or all wrong
Good Luck to all in finding what you deserve

This "addiction" to the forums has helped me get over a summer romance, I was struggling through. The banter, humor and insights helped me to laugh again and take my mind elsewhere and refocus. I'm thankful for that... but this IS a "time sucking machine!" and I've got to go into rehab..

good luck in rehab, the person who opens the clinic for FATC (Forum Addiction Time Consumer), is going to make a bundle.

No such thing as being tapped out! If things haven't worked for you, than find another avenue to explore. The hardest thing in life is picking yourself off the floor, and starting over again.
Be yourself......someday when you least expect it......you'll have your wish. Giving up is for dreamers and losers......fighting for your beliefs and expectations is for winners. And, judging from your smile.....you're a winner.

Stephen,
I know after my Mom lost her husband she had things like that happening to her. It can be unsettling but it will pass.
