techman... I couldn't have said this any better than you have here. I am in a simular situation. Best of luck to you in your search for whomever it is that you're looking for. Keep up the spirit; your Mrs. Right (forever) is out there somewhere. I sure hope mine is as well.

Okay, so maybe I read the original the wrong way. After reading some of your replies here, I can honestly say that fear is in fact a part of our lives, and cannot let it control us or prevent us from achieving our goals. I have come through and surpassed many of my fears in my life, and overcoming some of those fears have helped me achieve the goals that have gotten me where I am today and made me the person that I am

I take risks..sometimes I think I'm too trusting...Sure, we're all on here hoping to meet that ONE..but meanwhile, make it fun..post on threads and clown around. Seems like there are quite a few here that I feel pretty confident that I could meet and feel very safe..and i've met several from my city here..dated a couple for several months. Nice guys, still friends..just wasn't a big connection. But who cares? At least i'm willing to take the chance that something might develope from that meeting...
Life is an adventure and i like to keep it exciting!

I think part of the sincere letter issue is being too wordy. People have short attention spans.
I don't think its fear anymore for me. I just know what I want and haven't seen it come along.
