I had an experience tonight...every waitress and waiter was handed a little black box and told to attach it to our belt, or put it in our pocket..the kitchen will buzz you when your order is ready. I thought great, no more wasted trips to the kitchen..if I get buzzed it means my food is ready. To make a long story short...I was jumping and squeeling through most of the night...I sure hope I can get use to this new technology.

tru..that was the problem..it vibrates!
Law...great idea!! I think I will practice with the cell phone. Seriously, it startled me so much, I had fears of it going off, just as I was pouring a glass of wine, or setting down hot soup.

Lotus, I've had to wear those things too. Took me most of two weeks to get used to it. If I'd been on the floor and not behind the bar... And yes I did spill drinks when it went off.

I'd be there for six hours and only have it go off 3 or 4 times, most days. If I was waiting tables I might have gotten accustomed sooner.

Is anyone having good weather? Sitting here listening to the sleet hit the window- almost all the pretty snow has melted and now it's just cold and nasty!

Sure! I'll reply here! Alabama had a beautiful day today then ended this evening with a bit of light rain...and WE NEED RAIN! I live on a lake and the water level is the lowest I've ever seen it! Boats and boat docks on dry land all around here! We had temps in the 70's today and it felt warm and humid after dark..... I could feel that it was going to rain a little and very very very happy we had at least a little.
