With healthcare dominating the news,,,
If Jesus came down here today, would he be:
1. The democratic Jesus who would help the sick, feed the poor, care for the disadvantaged
or
2. Would he be the Republican Jesus:
Ask for your insurance card, verify it before he would help you,
and if you had leprosy, he would reject you completely because it is a pre-existing condition?

At least he wouldn't be a lobbyist for the insurance companies. You need the son of Satan for that!

I don't think Jesus would be either a Democrat or Republican. That being said, I do think he'd say (as he did before) that the strong should help the weak, and that we should all share and be kind to one another. Seeing the world we have today, I also think he'd give us a stern rebuke that we are destroying our world, and that we need to stop attacking each other. I think he'd rebuke the health insurance companies, hospitals and pharmacuetical companies for their greed. I think he'd rebuke the American public in general for allowing our fellow citizens to become seriously ill or die for lack of access to health care coverage. I think he'd add: "My father gave to all his children a great gift: A brain that surpasses the brain of all other of God's creatures. Use the brain God gave you. You will find a way to provide for the common good, if you will set your prejudices aside".

Let me rephrase the question for all concerned:

I think as soon as his fifteen minutes of fame ended,he would be homeless seeking help and would basically be invisible to most people. So I guess he would be a persona non grata.

I think he would probably feel about the same as when he cleared the temple of the moneychangers...angry. I doubt he would have much interest in politics, he would be drawn the the homeless and the weak in our society.

Sounds nice, seriously, but I dont think that Jesus or God exists. Who would leave their children so long with no disapline and let them get this far out of control with out stepping in a whole lot sooner. Children often do not use their brain unless consistently monitored. I grew up christian only to find out christians aren't very christian. The party that talks the most about him acts the least like him. I'll never understand that one.
