I am very artistic I paint, I write, I cook.
My career is Culinary Arts (trust me you have to be really artistic or have an artistic eye)
I write poems and short stories.
I paint every now and then but I am getting back into it.
My question is that a turn on for guys? I've been told that is a major turn on for some guys but I have yet to meet one. I just wanna know if it really is. If not, what are your turn ons? I am not talking about "tall thin legs" "big boobs" etc. like what are your turn ons besides the obvious physical ones that been played out too many times. Something different.

I think that an artistic girl is a Godsend lol. I write music and basically my life revolves around that, I would love nothing more than someone that can relate to the feeling I have when I hear something that stands out in a song. It's not just about music neither, Artistic people tend to think outside of the box. Things aren't Black and White with us, it's definitely in the Grey Area. We think Abstractly, and to have 2 like minds to communicate with is enjoyed and a turn on.

creativity and passion together is hot no matter who you are.
and if you are a little bit nerdy too, well that's even hotter!
men who are poets and writers combined with musical abilities are hot to me.
I'm very artistic; writer, dancer, poet, singer, director, playright, graphic artist, jewelry designer, tee shirt designer, music promotor, comedian, comedy writer, .......

A dying breed! Yes, truely artistic people who make it thier passion are. I am a floral designer mostly self taught and learned from many wonderful people since I was 15. I love to be creative and when people meet me it is either they are facinated by it or just not interested. I think people think I stand with daisies in my hands. I deal with huge $20,000.00 Weddings, Tropicals and unique pieces that the average person hasn't had the opportunity to enjoy. I would love to expose as many people as possible to the beauty of flowers that I use. I am not talking grocery store stuff. I want these unique flowers to be enjoyed by all walks of life. They are a real treat!

It depends. I know a lot of people that claim to be artistic yet I wouldn't consider them that at all. But if they are, then that's cool. We need more metal head chicks though, don't see them enough.

I am not sure. Whenever I tell a guy that I am an artist or they see my work, there is no response. It's almost like they feel threatened.
I paint, watercolor, do intricate pencil drawings, and am a photographer and writer...
I've had commissions and compliments from visitors.
I have some things on my profile.
Wish I knew the answer.

some guys are threatened by a woman who is better than him in any area. It's cause they have low self esteem. I personaly like a woman who can show me up. It means that theres something I can learn from her, and gives something to talk about. Woman artists are cool and in my experience they aren't as superficial as some women are. Artistic women are more down to earth. Artistic chicks rule!

oh hell yeah, I do anyhow, of course I myself need a girl to be good for more than just eye candy, if I'm going to have a relationship with you, there has to be something good about you that catches my eye, art of any form will do that right quick and in a hurry, especially if you're a painter, I love visual art and I'm bad at it so being able to see that stuff coming to life all the time would be amazing.

Yes... an artistic girl is a huge turn-on, especially one that is intelligent, sort of nerdy, wears glasses, perhaps hoola-hoops, fire-dances, or is a seamstress and makes cool, hippy, gypsy-style dance clothes for PsyTrance / Goa events, etc.
When she's into fabric and she buys those gypsy type of dresses... and fabrics from Tibet, India, all over... and when she wears the sort of black pants underneath the printed skirt that comes down over the pants to her her mid-thigh..
Yes, intellectual, nerdy, goofy, sexy, librarian girls are hotties... especially when they're into PsyTrance and Goa and go out to the best parties and are involved in a our community. Very hot.

Being artistic is uber attractive. It's those kind of things that make a person unique. It's impossible to honestly be attracted to a person (with the exception of a physical attraction) without first knowing someone and being really good friends. For example: I'm attracted to girls with a good and most of the time a weird sense of humor. Personally also the more tom-boyish type that likes to horseplay or just do random things like climbing trees hahaha. Those kind of things you wouldn't know or should I say experience that side of a person without being friends. It's definatley the personality that makes a girl attractive.

If a girl can play an instrument, paint, or cook, that's cool. If a girl can play piano, I'm almost sold. I she can play AND sing, and do it well, I'm ready to marry someone  But really, being artistic is a HUGE turn-on for me, and a lot of the guys I know.

from experience, I've found that if a girl is too artistic (such as myself) guys usually begin to feel inadequate. Keep some of your artistic skills to yourself if you have many, unless you meet that person that can truly understand you and is artistic themselves

wow... I can appreciate a girl/woman that has artistic/musical talent! My last band had a female singer and she rocked and one of my good friends was a female singer in another band... It's just something that we as musicians can relate to have conversations over or even create/write music together... I think members of the opposite sex tend to get the creativity side of their counterpart better...

When I was thirty-one a drummer friend of mine and I tried to put a band together with two girls, both nineteen years old... a tall, dark-haired singer and a beautiful, blond guitarist( notice any similarities to another very successful female rock band ). We got another guy to play lead and a bass player. I was playing keys at the time. Anyway, we started practicing and one night, after practice, the blond asked if I'd ride her home later. She ended up spending the night, I called off from work and weeks later we were starting to fall in love. The band however, had never materialized. She joined another band, started playing a few clubs around Pittsburgh and told me one day they were going on tour. On tour, where? She left one day, came back a couple months later, pregnant to the drummer with the coke bottle glasses and broke my heart. Sure, we love artistic girls!
