I live by Lake Michigan in indiana close to Hammond/Whiting area. Spring salmon and brown trout. Depending??? Lake Perch May-June thru fall. I do travel doing bass tournaments in central Illinois and north (clinton, shelbyville, vermillion, desplaines/kankakee river(3-rivers) also central Indiana and north. Central Western Washington. The Snoqualmie River is in my back yard. Lots of rivers and lakes in and both sides of the Cascades, Puget Sound and the Pacific Ocean. Where to go depends upon how long you have and what you want to fish for.

Went fishing today, caught a sunfish (wow!) My youngest son (14) caught a sunfish , a bass and a snapping turtle. My other son caught a snapper also. The lake is full of them and we laugh at the fool things, sticking their heads up looking for the bobbers. They go after them when they see them, educated turtles, they know those bobbers mean "free" food.

getting ready to spend fall in 10k islands,upper keys. starting in marco isl. might trailer in and out, that way i can load bike in van in.stay on boat camp in st park. motel depending on weather, who is with com for a day,a week, swim, dive,relax,hang out in sun, fish, eat the fresh fish you cauth yourself, dont worry if you dont know how ill show you, lets have some fun

That is a fun place you are going, Have fished Snook there a lot but that is not the upper Keys . You will have to go way east and then SW.Then across Alligator ally. Then over the 18 mile stretch to be in the to be in the upper Keys. You are in a great place but not the Keys. Check out around Chokoluskee for camp sites. August, bring lots of Deet.

I love fishing!! Went after some river cats the other night.
P.S. a little hint to help with the biting bugs. Mix 1/3 bottle of tea tree oil with water in a 32 oz spray bottle. Spray yourself and the bugs will leave you alone. Makes fishing enjoyable at night!!

i fly fish a little in our creeks. except i use a 10' spin cast rod, loose drag so i can pull line, add 1/32-1/16 split shot up line. this is for close short areas. only need two fly types. i make two flys i invented and kill the fish with. Happy everbody is posting. maybe will fing a new fishing partner. or maybe more.
