Your right utah, but i think his main reason was strickly male selfishness for physical reasons (if you get what i mean). He quickly went out and replaced me for a "healthy" person. I still havent forgiven him even though he a couple of months after dumped me he and I had my surgery and recovered. He called me and wanted me to take him back, his girl had dumped him for her ex. Karma!!! I laughed and told him he left me at the worst time he could, when I needed him the most. After all it wasnt like we had just been dating for a few months. We had been dating for 3 years! Through 1 surgery already.
Anyway Men su** but I've lived without one for almost 4 yrs now and I'm tired of being alone. I need to be able to trust someone, anyone. HOPEFULLY?!

Please keep in mind someone may stop dating a disabled person because they are not compatable, have a violent temper, be a liar etc. Having a disability isn't always the only reason someone changes their mind. Yes, sometimes our disability makes us more compassionate, understanding, religious but we also have different personalities, upbringing etc
I agree and sometimes people just use any reason to stop seeing someone as an excuse. My ex said he didn't like my dog, after we lived together a year with the dog. I wish people
could just be honest.

I agree with you. I have found some that could not handle my disabilities. They thought that I was strange. I do not need that kind of person in my life. I have also found people who do not care about the disabilities and they see me for me. Those are the people that I like to be around.
I tend to agree with you , it is those who take the time otherwise to do so that gain the most and earn the best gift there is the gift of being a true friend who truely understands the meaning of the word friend/friendship

I hope he is not talking about Buddy!? He should have bit your ex's butt as he left!
I would rather hear the truth, too. I like to be truthful with the people I meet here. I feel it is more respectful. I keep it plain, simple and honest. When a guy asked me if I was interested in a threesome, I just simply replied that I am looking for long term with one man. He respected my wishes, we had a little chat and he left.

I think that we don't always use the term disability right. Those who don't
have the ability to have compassion, honest, truth, caring, monogamy, love
and believe in God to me has disability for they lack in much more than me.

I'll get to find out again soon. I haven't been playing in these forums much lately because I have been spending hours e-dating with someone quite some distance away . We're hoping to meet sometime soon. I guess the face to face will be the best time to talk about my MDs.

People make excuses about why they do not want to be with you.......and, that's okay. It means that they aren't strong enough to walk with you through fires as united couple.

we all are disableded in some form or another and people are people no matter the degree of their disability. i had a sister who was married twice and lived life ti the fullest she could with a disability called spinabifida, she was given up at birth but god blessed us with her presence for 1 week before her 40th birthday.she has been gone now for 2 years and theres a hole in my heart that only she could fill. she never gave up or gave in she was a strong willed person who could also be stubborn but cant we all.she also had diabeties and when she passed it was from a septic blood infection
for all the love and all the laughs and all the tears she gave us so much of herself in so little time, the stregnth i got from just being near her was unbelieveable, she was my rock and we were best friends. i miss her so much its unreal but i know i will see her again someday and feel her presence with me here so shes still giving me stregnth to get through. my sister- ms.susan gail dillard tavares johnson you were one wonderful person!!! i love you still and always will.
PEOPLE WE NEVER KNOW WHEN IT WILL HAPPEN TO US AND WHAT SHAPE IT WILL LEAVE US IN SO JUDGE NOT BUT LOVE WHOLEHEARTEDLY LOOK PAST THE DISABILITIES AND SEE THE PERSON FOR THEMSELVES!!!

I do think my challenges make me a wee bit more challenging, but what’s life without challenge? What I think is funny are the people whose profile declare they are looking for a “soul mate” or contain a similar declaration. However, they are terrified of someone with the slightest challenge. If it really is a “soul mate” a person is looking for, why are they so concerned about the body or in my case the mind?
