if you know that you cant relocate for love then you shouldnt try and get somthing started with someone far away...me...im alone in florida if someone cant relocate to me then i would be willing to relocate to them.....you should be willing to do anything for love...

whether it's local or long distance.......it all depends on how far you are willing to go. If you can take that chance on something that may be the one thing you have been looking and waiting for. If you knew it was the once in a lifetime real deal, would you go the distance? It's the choice everyone online has to eventually ask, right?

I didn't think LD would be an option for me until lately. Started to re-think my options. I think if you make a connection with someone, why not go for it? I haven't had any luck with the locals. If I meet him and we connect, that doesn't mean I'm moving or he's moving. But I'm not gonna miss out on what COULD be a wonderful weekend.
Anything worth having is worth fighting for!! Right now, I'm fighting for a good vacation!!

I always believed that I wouldn't let a couple of hundred miles keep me from my soulmate but the reality is it's hard to keep the flame burning from long distance. The only thing worse than not having someone is having someone and missing them.

I know I won't be trying the long distance thing again. Drove 600 miles to MN to meet one that I thought I made a connection with and after I got back I guess it fizzled for him. Great time together but he made a better connection while still talking to me and we were planning another visit. I'm glad reality set in, but it has changed my mind about LDR's. I wish everyone the best of luck with any type of relationship they pursue.

The question i want to ask is: Would you drive a 100 miles, or 200 or 500 or 1000 miles to pick up a lottery jackpot? Of course you would...and you wouldn't care about anything.. you'd just do it!
Finding that right person for you is like your heart hitting a jackpot!! So don't cheat yourself out of a wonderful, fulfilling life with the man of your dreams just because the distance is a bit of an inconvenience. You know you can build and maintain great friendships and relationships over long distances(like your best friend from college or childhood)if you are willing to find solutions and not complain about problems... Love will find a way, if you let it.

I would pick up the lottery money (if I had the winning ticket) because you at least have gas money on the way back and you're guaranteed a pay off with little investment  LDR's are still a crap shoot even with a hefty investment of time and money. All in all you can't win if you don't play and that works for both situations

I've run across the same problem. for awhile I stopped chatting with the far away guys but some of them are so damn cute you can't help yourself........I don't know the answer, wish I did

I think talking to someone over a period of time then eventually going to see them is better than a local relationship b/c you can spend all of that time getting to know each other first rather than just jumping into it. plus you can tell your kids a crazy love story someday.

It doesn't matter what distance there is between two people. If the guy's you really like is even 1/2 way around the world, that shouldn't stop you from still communicating with that person. The guy for you could be the next guy you bump into or perhaps a guy from the other side of the world. Relationships don't just happen, you have to work on it. You can chat with a person for years. & still not know that person.The longer you chat together , the better you both get to know the other one. As you know, friends 1st. Now this could go on for years, because of the distance between you both. Eventually, one will want to meet this other 'SPECIAL' person they've been chatting with all this time. Even then, once you meet, you will both know nearly every thing about each other. but when yous' chat together tell him how your day went, what you're doing at nights. Everything, even little secrets. What you are cooking tonight. What you are wearing. EVERYTHING!!! & VICE VERSA!!!! Even though you both are still chatting to each every day & night & when ever, you can still go out with your friends & party. But be 'VERY CAREFUL' if you're gonna still have 'SEX' with other guys. There would be a 'MASSIVE BROKEN HEART ATTACK' if you fell in love with another guy.
