what pet names in general or even of a personal nature that guys say to women melt their hearts or u just think is plain  ??
and why do men say it? i think men say them more than women personally. i was never much of a pet name person. i just come up w/names when im mad 
ive been called princess, darlin', cutie, sweetie, babe, beautiful, sexy, silly, Mar (for ppl that r close to me) and occasionally b*tch
what do u ladies get called or prefer? and what r men's usual pet names?

well, I call several of you baby, sweetie, gorgeous, sexy, sweetness and used to use 'toots' but that is an actual user.
which i use is how I'm referring to you at that time. if you look gorgeous, you're gonna be called that. if you are sexy, that's what i'm blurting out. if you're just talking to me or we first communicate, it's gonna be baby.
i have a few reserved words for those that have a very special place in my life.

I love being called endearments. I found recently that I love just the first syllable of my name used.
My aunt used to call me Blondie in such a warm and loving way and I loved it. I'd love it if someone called me that again, but that's one I'd prefer be a more intimate thing than just anyone using it.
My family calls me by Hungarian nickname (a diminutive of my name).

im not a guy but i have a nickname for every girl ive made friends with or dated. i always try and fit it to there personalities. something they will take as a complement. My Queen, My Bonita, Blosssom, and My love. never use the same nickname twice.

I always call women I don't know "Miss", no matter what age (it's usually taken well), but occasionally I get the "I'm married", to which my immediate reply is "Lucky Man".
If I really like a woman (not necessarily romantically, but because she is a wonderful person) I will call her "Angel".
