 Well a while ago I wouldn't have wanted to put my picture on here because of the businesses I owned. I wouldn't have wanted everybody to identify me from my pictures. Now I have sold the businesses and don't care, but it could have caused some embarrassing questions and situations.
So I would say that some of them don't want coworkers, employers, neighbors or patrons to recognize them.

 I do have a few co-workers on this site. And on the last site I was on. Some emailed me just to say hello. I put a pic up, but I put the minimum in my profile. Just my choice.
I have had a few awkward moments when I run into a co-worker, that I don't know...and have only seen their pic on here, but nothing embarrassing.

 well folks everyone has their own reason for dos or dont's. I find out from other places some men don't 2 it or they post fake pictures and lie about themselves, because they are involved with someone else and still want to play around. Some even are open with indecente proposal to the ladies, but let you know they are married and want 2 have something on the side, discrete of couse (what the hell?) fantastic, you can make your decisions.... But they don't say it on their profile (jerks). Don't worry because you will get red flags alert all the time, because when the wife or significante others shows up, their computer froze until she lieves again, poor soul, or when they call you on their cell and mysteriously cut you off, time and time again, the poor soul shows up again and their phone gets no signal, run as fast as you can. So is up 2 u to avoid certain circumstances, dont give them what they looking for..... SEX.... you will c how fast they run away from u. Good.
Some woman, maybe the same case, .... But others don't feel comfortable anymore with cyber issues. Is a lot of danger out there, in my case I prefer not 2 show my face...... the only think I hide here.

 Thank you all for your comments, some of you got upset, those of you that got upset I do think you have something to hide, If not why would you get upset, the guilty always shouts the loudest. O.k for those who are in the dark ages and don't have digital camera, but now day most people have cell phones with cameras, or know someone with a camera, so all your excuses all sound like bullshyt to me!!!! Get technically updated besides you get more responses if you have pictures.

 I know I am a very visual person. If someone doesn't post a pic it is unlikely they will get a response from me and if they do, they need to send me a pic. I like to see a man's face, his smile, his eyes, they tell me something about him.

 I think thebestman said it.....you are assuming that the picture people post isn't fake. I do personally know some people who get on these sites who are married, who put up a fake picture, lie about age, income, job, etc...a totally fake profile. When I confronted them on it they said, "Oh...no one takes that serious...everyone's just on there for kicks....for entertainment." And some are on sites to see how far they can go sexually with women....they say they are younger, single men. Then, when they've had their fun, they just stop communicating with the woman.

Someone can post a photo and you have no way of knowing if it's really them. The scammers will steal someone's entire profile and several pictures and use it.

I have communicated with several men without photos posted. Most are usually willing to send me a photo (if they know how to do that). There's one man on here that posts who doesn't have a picture. I've seen others "bash" him for not having a picture...and take shots at him...saying he's hiding something. When he sent me his photo...it was of him and his young son...the "shadow person" was a very handsome young man. I think people would be very surprised to see what he looks like. (assuming that was his photo...lol)

So...my point is....even if there's a photo posted...don't assume...the "shadow person" might be the real person and the person with the photo posted might be married and very unattractive or much older.
