I don't mind being alone. I would like someone to share an occasional cuddle up and watch a movie on the couch with from time to time, but I really don't miss the nagging or first question instead of hi how was your day being - whats for dinner and how long till we eat. It's nice having someone, but its nice not having someone too.

Whatever you just need to find a real man one that makes you dinner half the time and runs home just to sweep you up and show you the passion he thought about having with you all day.

wow, girl...you hit a nerve with me on this one. I've been single for 10 years now and spent the first 7 of those years raising my four kids--being both mom and dad. Then about the time the youngest was almost ready to leave the house, I found out I had cancer (three years ago) and wound up moving in with my middle daughter and son-in-law and their two babies. I am finally to the point of moving out and into my own place--and while I am excited about it, I'M TERRIFIED!!! I am 52 years old and have never lived alone in my life...went from my parents home to my husband's, and when he left, I had my kids. Don't know what to expect, so you guys...be on alert...I may need you!!! ...girl, maybe we can start a support group

I hate being alone. So I started going out to bars and drinking after 12 years of being sober. But that's getting old fast, spending time on the computer,Watching TV,going to stay with my Mom and Dad.Trying to build a new friends network.

I have been alone for 6 1/2 years. I am pretty used to it. It is what it is, no sense in pissing and moaning about it. It's really OK.
I actually think it would be hard for me to adjust to having a man in my life having been alone for so long.

I agree with LUCAS ... it does take time to get used
to being alone... but... you then need to be careful not
to get "too" set in your ways... unless you feel like living
alone the rest of your life

I've been living alone for 12 years and other than while at work (in a small office) I'm alone 95% of the time. Yes, gets old, but I go to all the movies I want, see all the live bands I want, travel the world alone, pretty much do what I want, just alone. Prefer to have someone? Absolutely, but I don't dwell on it...SO, it sucks, but it won't kill ya.

I share my life and home with a crazy little dog. He even goes to work with me, so I'm rarely completely alone. Sometimes we do things I want to do and sometimes we do things I think he'll enjoy doing. Either way, it usually turns out to be an adventure we both end up enjoying. Of course, it would be nice to have a human partner in crime, but until I find the right person for me I'm enjoying the life I have.

Its not bad,I enjoy doing as I please, eating when and what I want, not having to be b*tched at for coming home a little late after work. Its nice to be my own boss for a change. Now I miss the closness and the tender moments, and having a arm around me as I fall asleep, but I cant have my cake and eat it too.So its just me and my little dog and my best friend, this here PC.

Being alone doesn't bother me most of the time but i do have those moments when i am very lonely. I have my little dog for company so i talk to him sometimes lol. I read or talk to family on the phone til the moment passes. I was married for 18 years and it was really hard to get adjusted to having to only depend on me especially with 2 kids, but i made it. I realized i don't need anyone to depend on but it would be nice to have a good man to talk to and enjoy life with.
