So along the way I discovered that being alone is a piece a cake IF the person your alone with is worthy of your company.Make sense? Books, walks, NATURE, thinking and trying new things, they don't really have to be out of this world exciting things, just different. As corny as it may sound, being in nature is the best comfort anyone can find. Take a look around a REAL good look around. Look up look down, side to side, listen, smell, touch, each time you walk outside something new is hiding right around the corner. May come in the form of a beauitful sun rise or set, a bird you have never seen before. The smell in the air before and after a rain, the sound of the winds blowing thru the trees, it's all there and it's there as long as someone is willing to enjoy it. Study yourself, pay attention to your reaction to different surroundings, what makes you happy and what makes you feel as if you want to smack someone upside the head. Avoid the bad, go for the good. I LOVE not having to answer to anyone, except my dog, lol, she is queen. I have no set hours to do anything. If I want to stay up late or head out on some road trip, I can without a notice to anyone. Unfortunately it is hard finding that person. Many of us, myself included, find things to occupy ourselves just to avoid being alone. Being alone and being lonely are two different things. I can be alone 99% of the time and I'm ok. I read, write and just hang out with my computer. But then that 1% of the time the loneliness kicks in and I just want to shrivel up and die. I know exactly how you feel but when I feel lonely I try to concentrate on all the positives in my life and get up and do something fun - like a movie or so. hang in there, it gets easier as time goes by.
