So my question to you, if it applies, how old were you and WHY did you get married?
Love?
Pregnancy?
Convenience?
Drunk?
Trapped?
Wanted to move out of your parents house?
For me, I was 19, wanted to get away from my parents and thought I was in love.

I was 32 and waited so as to make sure it was right and the only time. She was 33. We were so much in love, so after dating for about 100 days (almost three and a half months for those of you in Rio Linda) we headed off to Las Vegas and got hitched. Hey, we were not interested in a wedding, we were interested in a marriage. We used the money we saved on the wedding to buy a Goldwing... and I got the Goldwing.

1.) love=5th grade teacher, during the 70' mini skirts were in and she didnt know how to kneel, she bent, and so was I
2.) pregnant= never, but i became a dad at 24
3.) Conveniece=let wipe the dust off and see if i can remember
4.) drunk=14yrs first time and the last was at 42yrs, I dont drink anymore
5.) Trapped=you mean like in jail....lol
6.) moved from parents= 14, Seattle needed a new SUPERHERO at that time, He was called stoner dude

First Saturday after I turned 18 and didn't need my father's consent. To escape him -- even tho I'd moved out the summer before. Just to make sure I could get on with my life (hopefully) and he was not my next of kin any longer.

I got you all beat.. I was 16 and came out of the hospital on my 17th birthday with a new born son.. yes got knocked up.. stayed with him for 11 years and never loved him.. But see thats when people actually got married when they got knocked up..I would never do that again..3 of my 4 daughters have had babies without being married all legal age and I would had never talked them into gettin married. I was 29 the second time..that one lasted 22 years
