I would see no reason to pluck flowers. Some gardeners remove the small "Suckers" that grow at the base of branches but I have found that it is not necessary to do so.
I planted some "Early Girl" tomatoes and they all have approximately 80 to 100 tomatoes on each plant. They are Determinates and produce one large crop. I will replace them with Brandywines as soon as the plants are spent.

Don't have to pluck the first flowers. Be sure to water frequently if your'e growing them in the pots.
