my ex has three little girls and i have two a boy and a girl.what amazes me is that this man took care his three and helpd me with my two no matter wht it took he is a great father he doesnt get the respect he deserves timothy from lumberton nc.

I try to assess my childs feelings first to help them grow. I do make mistakes, but they seem to forgive me. Everyday I have them I try and show them I love and care for them. Maybe I don't do it perfectly, but they get that I do. Their friends approve so perhaps I am on the right track. That seems to be objective enough. Theres a lot more to it though.

I have custody of my son, after my ex took off with him for 8 years, and didnt allow him to even know who i was, then managed to get hooked on methamphetamine, and got all 3 of her children taken away from her, yet she still managed to tell him that i was a horrible person, when i did everything i could for her and him while we where together, right down to going into the military so i could give them a good life and keep insurance on them. yet i am the one that was a bad person, when i married her and she skipped out on me....so i wouldnt always believe what people say in a forum post, just from personal experience

My ex is a fantastic dad. He's always there for our son and even me when I need help. He was a crappy husband but i always know he'll be a great dad.

I guess in a way, my son's father is doing the best he can for my little man by just not being around. I don't talk about his father around him in a negative way, because when he gets older, he will have to make his own mind up about the man that helped create him. I even have my ex's pictures in my kiddo's room so he knows what his father looks like.

my kids dad is a great dad! our son is out on his own, but our daughter is 8 - he does the basic stuff, but also can paint nails and tries to help her with fashion, cooks with her and lets her help with home repairs etc... the only negative thing i could say is that he is a pushover when it comes to her, lol!
