Ok, I was working on a flower garden and planted some wildflower seeds. Some have
come up but there is a few in particular that has not bloomed or do I see any
buds that look like it will bloom and don't want to pull them up thinking they are
weeds but not sure. Is there any sites I might can go to that might show me pics?
I could take a pic of it and post it on here if I could get my cell phone camera
to download. It is suppose to but cannot figure out how to do it yet. Hate that
phone.

I think what I planted came in a box and don't still have it. Maybe this particular
plant will get some blooms on it soon. Don't see anything like it in any of my weeds
where else so thinking it is a flower of some kind. Will now if it is a poppy if it
does bloom. They are pretty tall and kinda bushy but think it is a flower. Hope it blooms
so I can identify it and if I can figure out how to post pictures on my computer from
my cell phone I will post a pic of it.

the sonoran deserts of Az is famous for SPRING wildflowers..including the gold california poppies and the similar mexican gold poppies more prevalent in AZ..

but we plant wildflower seeds in OCTOBER so they germinate and establish themselves and become frost tolerant of a frost by dec and jan , and they bloom in profusion come early march.
so we grow them Oct-feb, so they can bloom in march
the gold poppies are native to AZ and california

wildflower seeds and seedlings are sensitive to warming temps and hrs of sunlight..

Not sure if they are a wild flower or a weed now. Someone told me it was a weed
but seems strange that the only place I have these "so called weeds" is where
I planted wild flower seeds. No blooms yet but nothing like it anywhere else.
It may be weeds.

Well I messed up. The flower I wasn't sure was a flower or a weed, well I waited
and no buds like it was going to bloom so a few weeks ago I decided to pull them
up. Just threw them to the side. Looked down were they were and saw something pink.
Went to check it out and they now have the prettiest pink blooms on them. Don't
know how they even lived to produce buds to bloom. they kinda look like they may be
a poppy but not sure. Oh well, learn something new everyday. I should have got my
neighbor to look at them before I pulled them up. she knows just about everything
about flowers. Think I will lay them back where I planted my wild flower seeds and
maybe they will come back next year. Guess they make seeds.

They may be perrenials or bi-annuals. They often don't blossom the first year. Is there a list of seed varieties on the package? Wildflowers can be "weeds" to some people, lol. Part of the fun is to see what comes up.
