I think Co-ops are a great idea, especially if you have someone that has more acreage than they can handle alone and there are others who want to garden but do not have any space.

I've already got my Fall plants (Cole Crop) started and have been transplanting seedlings and planted carrots, beets, lettuce and spinach. I'm still harvesting peppers, tomatoes and summer squash. I don't have the space for anything more.

i am trying to get into herbs. i have been practicing with flavoring vinegars, and even made my own pickles from scratch along with other pickled vegetables and pickled, hard boiled eggs. it does help keep those foods longer, even without a refrigerator.
