I'm on northern Arizona myself at an elevation of 8000+ ~ so we get our share of winter storms here ~ believe it or not. I guess one of the advantages of living here is when the winter snow falls I can escape the cold and head down to Phoenix for the winter. I guess that would make me a "Snow Bird" like all the retirees that head there for the winter (lol).....

Southern Arizona's a hot desert but nothern Arizona's cooler and has actual trees. All it takes is a three hour drive and it's like you're in a totally different world.
