Hello everyone. I am in Texas and have been interested in opening up a bingo hall. I know there are legal things to be done first and all that jazz...but just wondering if anyone here has ever done anything like this and how did you do with it? Thanks!! =)

I don't know......I have a certain type of lottery system that I came up with that would be for my own city and which would help out the elderly, home owners and it would also make the neighborhoods look better, but I spent 4 hrs being transfered too 20 different places when trying to figure out how to go about it, then I finally gave up......because there are many state and federal laws to comply with.....because it is gambling...
sorry I can't help.......but one thing is for sure, because of big government and their red tape and thousands of regulations....it's probably going to be a long process and it will also have to get approval from your city/state/ feds because they have their monoplies and friends in which your new business might effect......so if you can get past the Cronyism you might have a chance
good luck

I've always wanted to as well, the research I've done and the legal requirements for obtaining a bingo license in your state. Some states consider bingo to be a game of chance, and licensing bingo halls falls under the jurisdiction of the state Gaming Control Board. Other states only allow bingo to be operated for charitable purposes, as a way of raising money for nonprofit organizations. Contact the attorney general’s office in your state to identify the legal requirements and procedures for getting a license to operate a bingo hall.
What do you have in mind?

I know this may sound silly and you probably wouldn't be interested in this.. but..
You can make a virtual bingo hall online.. and its actually pretty cheap to operate.. maybe 10 bucks a month
you make small commissions each time someone buys a card
or you can just play yourself online.. sometimes the pot is as big as $3,000 USD and the buy in as low as a few cents (yes you can still win $3k with only paying in a few cents if your lucky enough to win it)
can inbox me if you want further details and how to go about it (virtually not a physical building)
