There are several million in texas. Even with heavy hunting pressure the population is increasing at the rate of 20 percent per year. So in 5 years the population is expected to double. They are doing a lot of damage to the agricultural community. In the past month on my parents farm they have trapped 3 and I have killed 3 . But there are who knows how many out there. The neighbors are blasting away at them as well

For plinking and small game hunting, I gotta go with my 50 year old Remington Nylon 66. It's the first gun I ever shot, and still looks like new...plus it's really damn accurate & reliable.
For long-range shooting and big game hunting, I love my Savage Axis XP chambered in '30-06. The gun itself is a joy to shoot, and capable of sub-MOA. The Bushnell scope it came with, however, is meh at best; eventually I'm gonna get a Nikon BDC, and put the Bushnell on my .22.
For home defense, making big damn holes & lots of noise, and all-purpose fun, I love my Mossberg 500. I rarely use it to hunt, though, as I hate picking shot out of my food. 
As far as handguns go, my absolute favorite was my old Ruger Security Six- 4" bbl in .357 Magnum. I carried it for years as my duty weapon, and to this day am sick that I ever sold it. I'm a revolver fan and don't care much for semi-autos.
Pretty much every gun I own is my favorite!

the one thing that stinks about the black rifle is that it doesnt come in the tried and true 30-06 like my m1 garand or my fantisy gun the m1918 Browning Automatic Rifle.

I am more a conisuer of guns. I would be hard pressed to name one type as a fave.
The ones I shoot the most are Revolvers when it comes to hand guns. I hate picking up the brass afterwards.
Rifles I shoot many different ones.
My Marlin 1895 Guide Gun (Lever Action) is a ton of fun to shoot. Everyone likes it that has shot it. My Savage Model 12 in .223 Rem with heavy match barrel, and AccuTrigger will put 10 shots in a dime sized hole with nine cents left in change. My .30 M1 Carbine ia ton of fun to shoot. Though it launches brass into the next county if they do not do into lunar orbit. For a just the heck of it rifle I like the Mosin Nagant 91-30. It is crudely made, the machining marks are awful. Though I did a little work on it, it shoots true, I can work the bolt with just my thumb, and a slap of the hand to cycle it, and I have tons of spam can ammo for it.
Strange but true I am looking at the Colt New Agent, and liking it. I think the NAA mini is kinda neat as well.

I have a Ruger 10-22 that I used for squirrels, plinking and target shooting.
It's a fun range gun.
My deer gun is a Remington 740 slide carbine in .308Win.
I love to shoot this gun butt, ammo is pretty expensive now so, I rarely take it to the range.
I have an army Colt 45 that is my favorite piece for esthetic reasons.
I've had it to the range and am pretty damn good at gun control~~you know, hitting what I'm aiming at.
I've had many others butt have sold and/or traded for other things.

I've really gotten into black rifles, or the AR platform during the last year. This image is my Chiappa M4-22 upper on my DPMS AR lower. My next purchase will be a 300 Blackout upper. The AR platform is so versitle and accurate.
Shooting at that target breaks one of the most basic, fundamental rules of safe gun handling. ALWAYS KNOW YOUR TARGET, AND WHAT IS BEHIND IT.
All I see behind that target is sky. I don't see a berm or other suitable backstop. No way in hell would I ever take a shot at that target.

Savage 223 axis bolt action. Had trigger reworked and it's deadly on the wild hogs on my parents ranch. 
Ever take hogs with that 223 loaded with V-Max bullets?
None of those hogs will ever come back for a second helping, I promise ya!

Wow I have seen a lot of different guns on here but not one mention of my favorite.
I have somewhere around 70 guns from all actions in rifles and a whole collection of Rem. 870 shotguns, probably around 12 revolvers and about 30 or more pistols from 22's to 460 S & W. However my very favorite are the Thompson Center Contender and Encore single shots. I have taken deer with them when I was still hunting, but now I just target shoot about 3 times a week. At last count I have 71 barrels to go with my Thompson Center 4 Contender frames and 6 Encore frames. Love em and they can become very addictive. I can reload for every rifle or pistol cartridge I own as well as for every shotgun shell from 410, 28, 20, 16, 12, and 12 gauge 3 and 3&1/2 inch. I also have 3 smokepoles made by TC as well.

I have a 10 GA. Lakotablue that you can shoot, I reload so I can load a lighter load

For a carry if I get it I would like to get the Walther PPQ M1 in a .40 but unlucky for me I can't find one anywhere  I like the style of it an I love where the mag release is now that smith&Wesson took over its looking more like the M&P  but wall hanger would be an assault rifle of some sort or my Winchester 30-30 I love that gun

Yea theres not to many tweeties left here, they make for good practice with the 22, but a little hard to get so when i miss bubs usually catches them!!!! lol i think he's part cat!! he's the best cow dog I've ever had, i would have gotten a pit a long time ago if i would have know!!! he's a true athlete!!!
