This is the Swasticka. It is another very old religious symbol and was used by many religions including Christianity. The word "Swastika" is actually two words run together and is from an old, forgotten Sanscrit language. For a break down...Swa means "all". Sticka means "is good". So Swastika means "all is good". This symbol was a universal symbol for religions and was used for years as such. As the religions expanded and grew they came up with other symbols and this one was left behind. The unfortunate part about this symbol is that Nazi Germany took it and turned it into a symbol of evil and now it can no longer be used as a religious symbol.

Don't you think now the Swastika is even more "OK" for Christianity?

I'm quoting you, duchessa, because you quoted \.*hawk\.* and he/she deleted his/her original message. The Nazi took the symbol, modified it and used it for themselves... they didn't make the symbol 'evil'.
It is the actions of the Nazi party that have been labeled as 'evil' and therefore by association any of the symbols representing the Nazi party.

...and that's why the swastika should be used as a Christian symbol...since "the evil" added by the Nazis is not different than "the evil" vested by Christianity on mankind. BTW, I wouldn't be surprised if the Nazis and the Vatican were an item against the Jewish people.

Narive Americans used this one in their beadwork and decorations. You will note it's backwards from the other one. The question here is....how did they come by this?

I don't think the Vatican would have willingly participated (at least initially) with the Nazis, but, the Vatican has a very good sense of self preservation and would have cooperated under duress if Germany had won the war and Italy (and vatican) had been permanently occupied by Nazis.

And I think you are too decent to believe The Vatican is as voracious as it was Hitler.

Maybe it's one of those kinder-like loves... the little child pulls the little girl's hair and makes her cry because he likes her and doesn't know how to proceed.

Hinduism is formed of diverse traditions and has no single founder. Among its direct roots is the historical Vedic religion of Iron Age India and, as such, Hinduism is often called the "oldest living religion" or the "oldest living major religion" in the world.

In our early days when we were tribal and nomadic there were no organized religions. Each tribe had its "Holy Man", or "Holy Woman" (In some cases) and they were the ones who professed that "God" or "Gods" were the supreme rulers. They were the ones who professed that everything came from, or was made by God. The reason they said this is because they didn't know how things came to be. As our numbers expanded the tribes broke apart and formed other tribes. With this new forms of religions were born and broke away from Paganism.
All religions began in Paganism.
