I used to trek to Chicago occasionally when my sis was in college. The funnest trip I took was out to Cooperstown H.O.F. I also remember seeing Hersheys and Gettysburg but I'm forgetting which parts were by rail and which were car. I do remember going thru the adirondaks and the Hall of fame being the rail portion for sure. I enjoyed my train trips . Good idea Duchessa, hopefully one day soon I will get to go on a nice western excursion as well. There is rail that goes to a hotel right on one of the grand canyon rims as well
