I just think it's crazy. ok well, my kid wanted to know what "crazy" is. I told her it's when a person can't tell the difference between imagination and reality.
So literally, I think it's crazy. i understand that progressives and conservatives have very different values. Those values are established at young ages and then mature with experience. One leader can't change those, probably even if given his/her entire lifetime.
But politicians pander to this ridiculous fantasy and they eat up this bullshit like crazy. And what's even weirder is they point out the other teams rhetoric, even when you can point out facts. And if you point any of it out to them, they just think you're hating on them.

I usually don't take any politician seriously regarding religious moral values, when they proclaim them loudly from public venues, in order to get a voting relationship with us so that they may "rule over us".
I have noticed that politicians proclaiming Iron Age morals tend to not have any Information Age solutions to our modern social dilemmas.
In my opinion, the only "values" we need is the ability to bear true witness to the excellent job our Founding Fathers did at the convention, with our federal Constitution and supreme law of the land.
As our Supreme law of the land, it is more supreme than Any commandments of Religion in the US.
