Mixed are often good dogs, the luck of the draw. The best, most loving pet I ever had was of "indeterminant origin". Been decades, incredibly, since I lost her and I still will miss her till the day I die.
Yorkies, are tiny but valiant little dogs who have no idea how small and vulnerable they are, little dogs with big hearts. (but hard to housebreak!)

I favor the dashund
The only problem with this breed are their tendency to develop spinal problems, which can be heartbreaking. Of the two I knew, they both developed this problem, sadly. But if you've ever loved one, how sweet is that?

I have a blue eyed foster puppy.I think Henry is jackrussel mix,but Im not sure and have no idea where those babyblues came from.We found him on the hwy on the way back from Ill.Dumped in the middle of nowhere.Corn feilds for miles.My cat Jewel has adopted him as a kitten.Gabby blue heeler has also taken him under wing.The pup is not hurting for a mother,he has this whole household doting on his cute lil self.Hes smart,too.Learning faster than the thousands of puppies done fostered here n been adopted.And hes tri colored w a parfait pink n liver colored nose and liver colored spots on a wht smooth coat w tan highlighting the spots.Even his lil tummy is freckled!

I love the English Bullies- and yes, I can't say enough about our rescue Boxer.
It's obvious that although young (only 18 months), she has been treated well by someone, and likewise mistreated by someone. Whether she'd already had more than one home, I will never know, but she does have separation anxiety, she won't go out in the yard to potty, unless I hold her paw *chuckle*. Seriously, I have to go into the yard with her. She also will not eat, unless you stay beside her.
That's why I stayed beside her during her spay. She knew I was there when she went under, and knew I was there when she came to. I'd also venture a guess that she knew I never left. I kept petting her, while watching.
OT- I LOVE Dobermans, Australian Shepherds, Collies, Border Collies, Yorkies and Akitas. I've always been interested in Bouvier des Flandres (Booveeyay duh Flawn dra) and Briards.
Guess there's not really a breed of dog I don't like!!

Southern White English Bulldog, the oldest known bulldog breed brought to the Americas.
Beautiful lazy porch hounds , unless they hear a deer or wild hog (or pretty much anything that moves in the woods) they are loving , playful , protective and highly intelligent .

Australian shepherds r brilliant! I've rescued more than a few, altho I Usually hav2 really wrk w them 2keep them frm chasing cats & small mammals. Cnt let the bunnies out w one around!

Not full Aussies then. Because Aussies protect other animals.
A couple of years ago, I lost my Aussie, but knew she was somewhere close. I had baby chickens, and they were about half grown. I was using her dog kennel as a chicken pen at night, but letting the chicks out of a day. My Aussie was in the kennel, and one of the chickens was in there with her.
Australian Shepherds (unlike Australian Cattle Dogs) were bred to not only herd the cattle, but to babysit the children, while the family were farming the fields in pioneer days. They are guardians even of other animals. More so then even Great Pyrenees.

Sounds more like an Australian cattle Dogs. They go after anything.
Mine never saw a cat till I found a dumped kitten on the road. She never bothered it.

I dnt doubt they were australian shep mixes, they were rescues afterall, I've rescued cattle dogs as well, & def know the difference. The 1aussie that did harm a cat was mixed w husky. She did protect the older indoor cats but was very territorial w the outdoor cats, well, when they wld run anyway! If they sat still she ddnt care. I've had so many diff breeds, I've come 2learn a lil bit bout each1 & see where some traits overlap & othrs do not. I sure love it!

But Aussies don't chase. So it must have been the husky add mixture.
My Aussie is on my profile pic with me. Hoop jumping is her fun time activity.
I know my breeds as well. Both in looks and mannerisms.
To date, I have trained Dobermans, Collies, Border Collies, Australian Shepherds, Akitas, Great Pyrenees, among others (I can't think of off the top of my head).
P.S. The white Aussie on my profile is stone deaf. I taught him obedience by using hand signs.

Yes it was a mix! Aussie & husky, I've only worked w a cpl purebr aussies- they get adopted quickly! & r very smart & so willing 2learn & adapt quickly! Ppl w kids luv those dogs! There's a huge list of ppl wanting purebred dogs & when these come n2 the shelter(s) they go quickly. I mainly wrk w mixes, & what some consider "unadoptable", w some type of behavior prob such as shyness, fear, etc. & quite a few staffordshire terriers, rotties, & chowchows which so many r unfortunately leery of. I wrk really hard2 rehab these & find them homes. I've been really lucky2 find loving families & homes 4these "lost ones"!

I am completely amazed by disabled dogs! They r soo special! U obviously hav great skill & patience & an amazing dog as well! Did u see the story on the news bout the sweet lady that adopted a blind & deaf great dane? She makes signs on his head & has actually taught him commands- unbelievable! I cried when I saw the story, if there r such wonderful ppl n the world as this, it makes me wonder why soo many ppl r horrible & full of hate. U shld make a story of ur amazing dog & put it on youtube- wld get a ton of ppl watching!

I do not consider him disabled. Being born deaf, he doesn't realize anything is missing, or that he is any different then any other dog.
He's just as capable as any other dog. A darn good guard and watchdog!

I'm a huge dog lover. They are not pets, they're 4 legged kids with fur. LOL!!
Anyway, I like several breeds. Mini-Dachshunds have a special place in my heart. My current #1 breed is Australian Shepherds. (hence my username) I have 2 plus a foster. My 2nd would be Golden Retriever. My golden girl is the world's best dog. She has an AKC title and is a retired therapy dog. (worked in a pre-school)
