Ok just launched my own website www.kellerwoodworks.com.... I build custom furniture and of course my bowls.... Is there anyone into photography that could give me so ideas on the best way to photograph the bowls that would show their grain better ... Any suggestions would be appreciated ...

You need to get a softer light source when you shoot the pictures.You can use more ambient lighting and bounce the flash off of a sheet of white paper.Also I would use bigger shots on your website the larger your image the more detail show up.

find a large window and drape a white sheet over it....place the bowl close to the window and then use a white poster board to bounce light back into the shadows.
second tip invest in lightroom and use that to edit your photos. it gives a more polished look
