I like spicy food as well but not so spicy that it over powers the taste of the food and burns your lips off 
she said it all. some people think spicy is lets see how hot to make it. its not that at all, its what flavor you can enjoy. i have eaten what could have been a good meal but the cook went for heat and not the flavor. when i cook i know who i cook for and try to make a happy medium for everyone. the ones that dont like spicy foods period get a bland batch made just for them.

Yeah I like heat and spice within reason but they are very different. I cant do the serious burning oils such as habanero. Oh dear, those feel like they are actually going to cause your lips to blister up.  I find it very difficult to focus on the flavors of the food with quite that much heat.

Just about every culture in the world has at least one dish that will knock you on your a** with its heat. From that birthplace of spices known as India, to the discovery of chile peppers here in the Americas, the world has been trying to find new ways to turn men into boys.
Personally, if I read the word "spicy" or "hot" on a menu, I make it my priority to test just how spicy that item is. If I am cooking for myself, I never skimp on the cayenne pepper. When I was young, if I cursed, my mom would put tabasco sauce on my tongue... and then when she'd leave the room, I'd grab the bottle and drink it. It has been a recent dream of mine to give ghost peppers a try.
So how about you ladies and gentlemen? Can you handle the heat?

Love spicy food. I'm from Jamaica and I grew up on spicy food. Try adding scotch bonnet peppers in some dishes but not too much if you can't handle hot peppers.

Me as well. I can do spice within reason but don't want canker sores developing or scalded lips. I can pretty much handle the medium heat but certain peppers are too strong for me like habanero. No.

I make my own ghost pepper sauce.A papaya,diced toms,tom juice.Garlic,onion and a few other choice goodies.Dump it all in the slow cooker for five hours let it cool then run it through the blender.Outstanding and hot as hell.

I've always loved spicy foods.
I have a shaker of Trinadad Scorpion Pepper that is way hot. It was the hottest pepper in the world when I got it but I believe there is one a tad bit hotter now.
I need to get to Bdubs and have some of those blazing wings again. I think they even have a challenge and if you do it in the time limit, you get a tshirt and your name on the wall. Depends on the Bdubs I suppose.
Anytime I have Chinese or Thai I ask for them to make it as hot as they can. My fav thing growing up was grilled cheese with jalapeno and habanero peppers inside.

A good spicy dish is Vindaloo from India.
It incorporates meat, typically pork or lamb, with vinegar, potatoes, red chilies – and Bhut jolokia.
Bhut jolokia, also known as the ghost chili, is (according to Guinness World Records) the hottest pepper in the world.

The hottest pepper is now called the Carolina Reaper in the Guinness Book of World Records and no longer the bhut joolkia. For those of you who do not know, capsicum is a stimulant to the pleasure receptors in your brain. Look it up!

Wings to peppers. Mexican to Indian.
I cook my stir fry with ghost pepper flakes. I need to marinade or cool them in oil first to bring out the heat.
Caffeine and spicy are my food vices.
