Try out some interval training then come talk to me, lol, I was 205 pound, off course is gonna be hard to do all that weight doing pull ups, now that I'm 150(got there in 4 months) I can do about 15 or 20 pull up depending on how tired my muscle are by the time I get to it. I'm no heavy lifter by I guarantee a lot of people cannot keep up with what I do, they would be to exauted. So my fav would be any exercise you can think off that works as well as upper and lower body, and all with an exercise in between to keep my heart rate up, which to me is the key to real strength/ stamina

Yoga. It gives me the body I can transition into my 50s with and won't require too much maintenance. Also, I've never had a program that my body craves so. I NEVER have to push myself to get on the mat. Once I'm there it just flows.

That's the magic of physical activity its actually like a high.

I prefer to do modified push ups, sit ups and leg raises. Followed by intense stretching then a Cardio exercise.

Hell yeah, I believe it transfer over to life, lots of good things have been happening since I've worked out. Have the energy of a bull. Back on topic, I also love bench pressing, military press, and seated cable rows. Dumb Bells and weights in general have become something I love. I'm just seeing all these mini goals come to completion, and it might not seem like a lot to others, but means a lot to me, and has taught me to respect the dedication, people put into their health...

Still my favorite exercise is the squat, I've finally reached my mini goal of squatting my own weight. But a very close second exercise is the ax chop with the crossfit pulleys. I add in ten burpees before I hit 30 ax chops. Man, I'm nearly dyin after 15 minutes... Feels like my core is getting stronger too...

Tai Chi the movements are just the right amount of strain. Getting the body and mind together. Once both are on the right page. You can move on to diet great food then weights and cardio adding strengh and endurance. For resistence training its definately squats. Then clean n sweeps (and other modified deadlifts), then pull ups, then burpees w/pushups.

But if I could only do one exercise for the rest of my life, it most definately would have to be sprinting.

I have several I enjoy, and they are chest press, lying leg press, with the leg press I can position my feet in the center to work my legs, position my feet lower on the platform to work my quads, and higher to work my hamstrings and position my leg closer together to work my outer quads. squats are ok but every time I perform them around my knees or the area above and around my knees are sore the next day. pulldowns are great also.
