Hi Charlie, I been around but kinda quiet I guess. I like growing season better than winter! But it's going well and fairly fast. Hows yours going? I pass winter blues by circling things in seed catalogs.
I did get my garlic and tater onions in a week ago. I still have 30# garlic I am eating on, getting others started.
Well, just added a pointsetta I always liked Jades alot. Thinking a spider hanging in the master bath too. Ex came back from Yuma one year and had a ton of small cactus! They were all very cool too.

Nothing more exciting then when the seed catalogs start showing up. My favorites are Gurneys and burpee
I have 2 huge porches for house plants. I rescue discount plants . During the winter the house can be quite crowded.
Hi Creek. Hope all is well.
The 2 porches enclosed heated and all? I may do that to the front deck.
I get those 2 catalogs and think I ordered some from Burpee last year. I also like Territorial, Jung and Fedco seed too. I saved alot of seed too, peppers, 3 kinds okra.

This past summer I grew peppermint plants. Until I went away.
they grow very fast and really seem to like their water. Now I have only one peppermint plant... Not knowledgeable enough about these plants to know how to dry them or really when to use them cooking. They do, however, make the house smell clean and vibrant when boiled in water - simmered in water. A cheap air freshener!
Tomatoes are doing well in the house over the winter. the taste of fresh tomatoes is a very pleasing experience. How on earth did I put up with store-bought tomatoes?

You should see my cabbage and my brussels sprouts . I believe they do better in the fall. Bug free.
I bring my plants in during the winter. They get the speech.
Ok make it or not your choice. Most survive pretty well. By spring I'm ready to kick their hinnies back to the porch.
I never have good luck with brussel sprouts but love them. I planted a small winter crop and the chickens found it Now they are pulling up garlic, guess I have to fence

for indoor or out/ I love potted hanging ferns; for outdoors.. marigolds. Their both easy & I love the colors. And golds are very hearty can handle wide range of temps & conditions.
