Normal is varied because I like variety. I'll make banana or apple waffles, omelettes of various kinds, varied pancakes, sometimes even just a dressed up bowl of oatmeal. Bacon is good. I don't buy sausage anymore because I can't find breakfast sausage with no MSG, but I do have a meat grinder and I want to figure out a good recipe for my own breakfast sausage patties. It's not a sausage grinder, no attachment for the casings, but I'm happy making sausage patties. It's more of a burger grinder. First thing I ground with it was some top sirloin for some good burgers.

Weekdays is usually a brunch and anything goes. Breakfast on a weekend generally bacon, eggs and toast. Sometimes waffles sometimes sausage and gravy in bisquits.

Do you raise the quail for eggs? I been thinking on it. I like quail eggs, raw they are great too.

I'm getting guineas soon as the chicks are grown. Local I can get just a few or order 30 keets. Love watching them run around. Not sure how I would raise the quail, another seperate structure I guess

Usually, it is scrambled egg beaters with a sprinkle of asiago cheese, and a english muffin.

For special occasions I make eggs benedict..(real eggs).

I enjoy traditional breakfast dishes anytime of day!..and I would love to try a quail egg!

Normal breakfast for 35 years has been two cups of coffee and three cigarettes. Fancy? Add three eggs and four or six strips of bacon.

There is something about breakfast.....the most important feeding of humans so they say, but yet most skip it. I LOVE breakkky... but is not apart of my daily routine. I especially enjoy a good breaky before hitting the links... why? Breaky always tastes better eating out than scrambling those eggs on top of the stove at home.... why is that?

Biscuits and gravy is awesome. I'm usually too lazy to make biscuits, and I can't find a breakfast sausage without msg. I'll eventually learn to make my own breakfast sausage, and maybe I'll be ambitious enough on a cold morning to make biscuits. I usually go to a local cafe for biscuits and gravy, as they do it rather well. (David's Kitchen, but it's not like any of y'all are anywhere near Atascadero, California. If you ever are, their food rocks!)

Making my own sausage is now an annual chore, usually during deer season unless somebody gets a wild pig, I get fresh beef and pork trimmings from my grocery butcher for 10 cents a pound, and that adds the right balance of fat(flavor) to the mix.
I must now break a pack out of the freezer because I have started to salivate....

Thats the ticket right there. Man homemade breakfast sausage(pan style) is hard to beat especially with venison .. Thanks for the comebacks everyone. I have been gone not ignoring anyone..Now I have breakfast on my mind for dinner..

Breakfast for Dinner tomorrow, Biscuits & Gravy, sausage on the side.
For those that think it's hard biscuits take longer to cook than to make.
I like using White Lily flour or King Arthur flour.

Heck yea romeoo - When I go to IHOP or a good breakfast restaurant I usually get a chicken fajita omelet. With biscuits and gravy on the side of course ! I will admit I am not a very good omelet make though.

I make great omelets, the secret to sucess is: 1) brown eggs have a slightly higher protein content and whip up better.
, 2) 1 teaspoon of heavy cream for each egg, again helps the omelet get fluffier.
This is the French style, you can substitute milk or water or nothing for the heavy cream.
I like to fill omelet with chopped bacon, cojack cheese, fresh mushrooms.
My other favorite filling is a seafood base sauce with crab and shrimp.
Oh my, I want one now!!

Breakfast Ranchero Enchiladas

Rolled softened corn tortillas filled with scrambled eggs covered with homemade ranchero salsa, sprinkled with a mild white cheese. Bake or nuke for a few minutes. Serve with refried beans and/or potatoes. The enchiladas (2) are perfectly filling by themselves.

Decided on something different today, soft white tortillas warmed up on the stove stuffed with ground sausage, eggs, cheese, and mushrooms.
Not bad at all!

I came up with this on in a dream one night. Fry 2 tortillas and quarter. Place 1 on a plate add refried beans chopped bacon sausage, salsa verde and cheese. Place the second tortilla on top add salsa cheese and nuke till melted. Add green onions and sliced black olives on top and enjoy. Only problem is that its filling and I always want a nap after.

Please snog in your room, no disrespect intended.
Today's breakfast is four cheese grits with a touch of garlic powder and a tablespoon of butter, bacon on the side.

Speaking of eggs, that's what I made this morning, scrambled with 4 cheeses and whole wheat toast, simple but satisfying.

4 cheeses sounds great. I simply had bacon and eggs with toast. Honey on the toast. Sour cream and picante on the scrambled eggs. Simple but GOOD..

Yep, but honey has gotten outrageously expensive, I like a little cinnamon and sugar on occasion, you can still find eggs for $1/dozen, though. The brown ones cost more but I like'em better.
Grits is the breakfast for today.

That ain't no lie. Honey is off the chart high. But with the shortage on bees I can understand. Hell I think I have seen may-bey 5 or 6 this yr. And that's even around my big ole sack of cans..I never did have a taste for grits. If I was starving, heck yes I would eat them but never was crazy over them. To each's own.

I love grits, but they have to be the old fashioned kind that have simmered for at least 30 minutes, the key is what you add because by themselves they can be bland.
Made mine this morning with cheddar and a little garlic salt, dash of black pepper and a little butter.

Monday - Friday it's a fresh fruit & veggie smoothie with all kinds of super healthy stuff thrown in there.. But, on Saturday it's usually an omlette with mushrooms, zucchini, onions, bell pepper, avocado, cheese and whatever other yummy veggies I picked up at the Farmer's Market.. Then Sunday is gluten-free banana almond pancakes... Oh, I LOVE Sundays...LOL!
