I live in a very small town, in the middle of nowhere. I enjoy the peace, quiet and the privacy that comes with it... until the weekend, when all the tourists raid our beautiful state.
NH has some of the most vivid landscape around, (and I've visited or lived all over the country, from serving in the Navy). The crystal clear lakes and rolling mountains are among my favorite things NH has to offer, for I enjoy being outdoors. I'm like a fish in the water, and hiking is always a wonderful get away. Scorching hot summers and frigid, icy cold winters, bring the best of both worlds, though fall is my favorite time of the year. There's just something about the leaves changing color, cooler but perfect temperatures, beers & bonfires, and of course Halloween.
NH is one of the safest states to live in. I also love my freedom to express the 2nd amendment. I don't have to register my guns in NH, and all that's required to carry a concealed pistol, is a simple permit - Try doing that down in MA.
I'm not a very negative person. I can't think of many "cons", other than the fact that I have to travel roughly 30 minutes in any given direction, to get out and do anything fun.

3. No seat belts "last state"
4. Guns
5. More lakes and wildlife, back roads
Cons:

Only down side for me is my family all still lives in MA and my closest relatives are 30+ miles away. Other than that, and being so far from Boston and Salem MA, I love it here!
Now if only we were as liberal about nudity as VT....

Pros. It's beautiful out here, the forests, the lakes, the parks, the mountains. A lot of places have that old timey charm. If you like outdoorsy stuff there's tons to do. It's beautiful half the year here, spring summer and fall, with nice temperatures most of the time.
Cons. SMALL dating pool. Most people that show up in searches are from far away, like an hours drive or more into Massachusetts. Even in one of the more populated "cities" there aren't a lot of local options. If you're in a small town or out in the boonies it's even worse.

Biggest con: the women! Either fat cows, frigid prudes or stuck up money hungry snobs!
Yes, those are stereotypes and I've met a few that weren't any if the above but those few were already off limits or not interested....

Pros of the Granite State:
1. Comfortable atmosphere (not too big, not too small).
2. No state sales tax.
3. Always something to do (depending on where you are in the state).
4. Several good summer destinations (i.e. Lakes Region, Hampton Beach).
5. Emphasis on local businesses.
Cons of the Granite State:
1. Frigid winters (I'm used to it by now, though).
2. Hard to find young, single people.
3. Not a lot of options in my field of work.
4. In many areas, essential stores (i.e. Supermarkets) are a LONG drive away.

Take a drive on the Kancamagus Highway in the White Mountains,
it will be one of the most beautiful drives you will ever take!!
I live in Vermont and go shopping in NH all the time, you gotta
love No Sales Tax, and the prices in the NH Liquor Stores are
great... way less than in Vermont.
