As a former chef and single man, I though about the amount of bachelors who eat fast food and bar snacks on a very regular basis.
It struck me that a cookbook filled with very easy & tasty meals. Might be desperately needed by bachelors.
If nothing else, it would save them a fortune.
The cookbook would consist of Italian, Mexican and homestyle meals, with a few seafood dishes.
I'd also include very simple desserts/snacks.
I'm just wondering how many men would be interested in this type of book.
YOUR FEEDBACK WOULD BE GREATLY APPRECIATED

I should note that all meals will include easy alternatives for gout and high blood pressure patients.

There is such a thing, Betty Crocker (classic edition).
Joy of Cooking, others.
Me, I love cooking, so I have La Rousse, which is a culinary dictionary.

Betty don't have gout and hypertension friendly recipes.
Nor does betty have the flavor that I have.
Betty has weak, generic crap.
The evil one has heat, spice & taste.

As I understand it:
Gout = low fat/cholesterol.
Hypertension = low fat/sodium.
It seems like you could make every recipe in the book good for gout and hypertension.
I've also found the Better Homes and Gardens cookbook superior to Betty Crocker and the Joy of Cooking. If one is prone to improvise though, How to Cook Everything by Mark Bittman and its 2000 recipes is also a good choice.
My best cookbook for bachelor friends is the 50-ish recipe, laminated, legal size quick reference sheet that is affixed to the refrigerator next to my stove with several magnets. I hit almost every recipe every year and the few bachelor friends I've given it to will admit to regularly using about 20 of them.

I experiment a lot nowadays, trying to get new flavors, but I rely on the most trusted recipe: simple ingredients done well.

Great meals are more dependent on seasoning then ingredients.
Ingredients are easily substituted with fillers.
Seasonings can't be substituted. Even something as simple as salt has a major impact on many foods.
