'98 Family Values tour Continental Arena.
Korn, Orgy, Limp Bizkit, Ice Cube, Rammstein.
Great show. How quickly irrelevant these bands became. Rammstein put on an insanely sick show. I had just turned 17 and got pulled over by the cops for the first time the same night! Great times.

I don't remember, but probably something lame because I went to a couple with my dad when he had extra tickets. Such as Celine Dion. I actually thought she was pretty good though, but doesn;'t sound cool for a guy to have his first concert be her. lol
Now in past years I went to more rock type of concerts, but mostly classic rock such as lynyrd skynyrd. I "accidentally" ended up at concerts for the avett brothers and gym class heroes and purposely ended up at a festival that had all american rejects and whoever sings the joker. Wow I can't think of them.
Also went to a Bob Seger concert, but see I went to all of these old groups/singers recently when they're not in their prime.
The first ever concert at one of the arenas in memphis was guns n' roses and metallica. Too bad I didn't go to that.

One of the first concerts was actually the swap meet (motorcycle) at Veterans Auditorium, in Des Moines Iowa, we were down gettin parts to chop our bike, It was none other than
Ted Nugent and the Amboy Dukes!!!!!!!!!!!!!! This cat was hot back in 1971..........
Playin, Journey to the center of your mind, more of a peace and love, feel to him then
but he's still kickin today, if not a bit radical in the sense that he apparently loves to hunt these days, but to each his own!!!!!!!!!!!!!!I can't hunt anymore ,so I cook the game, but the point is he kicked particular butt then and kicks it now as well!

Easy! It was a double date night, and we saw Led Zeppelin at the Chicago Stadium. They had just released their fifth album titled, "Physical Graffiti." What's great about that now is that, when I run into any new or younger Zeppelin fans, I can say I saw them with all the original members.

My first concert was Yes with Rick Wakeman at the Seattle Center Coliseum in 1974. They just blew me away. The atmosphere was mind altering on several levels. Since then, I have seen Donovan at the Paramount theater in '75, I think. It was just him alone onstage with an acoustic guitar squatting on an oriental carpet next to a rubber tree plant. It felt like the most intimate experience. I have seen Styx three times and Jethro Tull at least four times. A couple of the more enjoyable concerts in the last few years were Tom Petty at the Gorge backdropped by the most beautiful sunset and their trademark perfectionism. They were on 100% of the time and never missed a note. The other technically most brilliant concert was Alan Parson's Project revisited At the Moore theater. It was almost freaky in that every time I thought to myself. "They haven't played The Raven yet," or "It would be nice to hear Wouldn't Wanna Be Like You." they would play it for their next song. It got positively freaky after a while. I went home that night convinced they were psychic.

My first concert? Hatebreed opened, Mad ball followed and it was headlined by Earth Crisis. It was in Minneapolise back in 96. I'd never heard of the bands before, haven't heard of them since and didn't really understand the music but I had a blast anyway.

May 1962, Trieste, Italy - Concert of the US Air Force Band !
But I think that the previous summer I went to a concert at the Castle of San Giusto, also in Trieste, and it was the Men's Choir of the University of Yale. Somehow this one did not get written down in my lifetime diary !

The first concert I ever saw was in 1997 when I was twelve and was visiting family in Guadalajara, Mexico. Headlining the concert was Cafe Tacuba, and opening for them were La Dosis and Azul Violeta. It was a f**king awesome experience which I will never forget. It was held at the parque Agua Azul and near the end of the evening it began to rain, but I didn't care. Does anyone know the bands I mentioned?

Led Zepplin, at madison sq. Garden, daytime show 2p.m. Zep 3 tour. Almost got crushed when we went from the very last row to the front of the stage for " whole lotta love " encore, being a small 12 yr. old , almost passed out. Had cool photos from my Kodak instamatic for years but lost them over the years.I will always remember the opening scream of" Immagrant Song", 1'st song of the show. Speaking of Mountain, loved those guys in the day. Saw them at Fillmore East, T-REX opened up and got boo'd off by the loyal Mt. fans. He was wasted, threw his tambourine into the audience and they threw it back!Marc Bolan? I think was his name, full green glitter and platform shoes, very memorable. Hey, great idea , the concert chat! At one point in his set, Marc Bolan's fly was open.

I think (?) it was REO Speedwagon , or UFO with ZzTop back in the early 70's
Ag Hall Allentown Pa 15 I believe. Then it was kiss back when thes bands first came out.
The first songs and shows I think are always best Todd Rundgren did a whole show himself
with 13 synth players and they carpeted and brought out the seats for that 1.
Rock on people.

In June or July of 1969,right before Woodstock,in SLC at a concert hall called 'the Salt Palace', I saw a dynamite 3 act show. First was Lee Michaels, who happened to have Frosty the drummer with him that night. Then came the Turtles and they were wonderful. And finally, out came the Guess Who and they were absolutely awesome....and on top of that, and I'm sorry I was a bad thirteen year old who snuck out that night...I was able to get in to the show for free. Afterward, I came back home and went back to bed and all was well.Regards, Robert
