I'm working on a children's book and adult historical fantasy sci-fi novel. Initially, you'd only get royalties as books are sold but you retain all rights. I cannot afford cover art from published artists. I need someone who wants to do this, brand new, with me.

Palapa on the beach.
A palapa (a Spanish word ) is an open- sided dwelling with a thatched roof made of dried palm leaves.
The 4 bottom ones are small Bonsai plants in pots, Vietnam
Bottom right, is Vietnam woman with basket
Old Colonial City of Taxco, Mexico ( Taxco famous for silver mining $ silver jewelry hand crafts and manufacturing )
One fished painting, its a real place, on the shores of the Sant Laurence Sea Way,
the small town at the very most northern end of the Gaspes Peninsula, Quebec, Canada.

Most the time I never need a ruler / compass, I have a well trained hand and eye.
In some case yes I use them, as needed tools are meant to be used when needed.
and... No it's not cheating or any of that BS to use them.
Here some of my stuff, where I am using a strait edge and a small circle template.
* My Vietnam T-shirt design - layout used ruler to sharpen up some lines
* 7 Chakras - ( a preliminary drawing )
Ruler...

LSD Drawing - ( free hand drawn while on LSD, later crisped up the strait lines w/ruler )
