I agree with your statement for the most part. Divorce tears lives apart. The kids involved can be hurt the most. I got custody of my kids a few years after the divorce. That was the best thing about my divorce, for the kids .

the best part about divorce was that it happened while we were both young and without any real ties to each other. no large assets, no children. so the grief was shared by us alone. i would have loved to had children but i'm glad that we didn't have custody battles etc. that way the pain and hurt only affect us!

I think we all learn things about ourselves through the trials and tribulations of a divorce. Even though I know I wasn't the cause of my divorce, I'm not perfect. I worked on those things and that made me a better person. Still just trying to be the best person I can be everyday.

Best part not having to pick up after a grown man..I dont have to be lonely married. I get to live closer to family and do more with them. I get to manage the money and live within my means instead of debt. No mil lol

There isn't anything good about a divorce in terms of a divorce. Our kids got hurt, I was off work for a yr and a half from my main job which is driving. I couldn't keep my head focused on the road and those who were around me. i constantly had other things on my mind.
In terms of the good that came out of it, my ex and I both are living again. By that I mean we were free to find ourselves again. Our kids eventually came to understand. And in all reality, we don't see each other much, but when we do, we can actually talk and laugh like we used to. I don't have any hard feelings toward her at all.

Freedom is the best thing!!!! I can now do as i please without argument, play as often as i want, go out and dance, sleep and not have to worry about him hurting me in the nite oh Yeah having sex again  Mainly just relax.

I no longer have to contemplate if I really want to go home.
I am basically debt free again! LOL two can live as cheaply as one? That is why I got a dog and ditched the wife!
I no longer have someone sabotaging plans with unrealistic demands or wants.
No pesky in laws, although my father in law was a great guy and welcome anytime.
Someone else can enjoy the pleasure of being completely baffled by her train of thought, or lack thereof.
There are no more debates about who I throw out of my home. Dear? your brother is an a**hole, if you can't grasp that? for his safety you should leave too, inviting him here puts him at risk.
 My 24 year old son lives with me and my dog, there is an absence of drama! A strange feeling after 23 years! 
Freedom to be me and happy without a lot of BS from another party.

There are actually a lot of things that have worked well for me as to being divorce. I am no longer look as an ATM machine from my ex nor hearing the constant complaining instead of working things out, etc. I was able to pay off the house, cars, retire and make really nice friends.
