You'd been better off just stating that the mayor had a black wife and kids because that's all there really is to it. Let me know when the wife becomes mayor than you can say it's success or progression.

So being a black wife and half black kids that wear afros, dreads, and piercings to a white husband, dad, mayor is a sign of progression. This is where people have to be very careful about dating and/or loving a person of a different race, if in the real truth, they refer to people of their own race as My People....then you will never get or be as close as you want to with them.

No matter what comes out of their mouths...you will always be...."those" people to them..no matter what.

Look, I'm not one bit racist. I am just saying that if a white person loves and prefers to date their own race, they are considered racist. If a white group started an all-white scholarship program or our own college, it would be considered discrimination against minorities. If a white comedian says the n-word, the media is all over that saying he or she was rude and it was uncalled for, then the comedian feels like he or she must apologize. If a white is discriminated against, it is called reverse racism and if a white person goes into a black neighborhood and gets beat down because they are white, no one considers it a hate crime. Also, I wonder how many times Al Sharpton or Jesse Jackson has said the word "cracker" in their lifetime? Yet, they are still on television and being worshipped by the media and others while a white southern 60-something year old lady gets her show plugged and is up to her tail in lawsuits because she admitted to saying the n-word years and years ago. Do you get what I am saying?
