Sunny, going up to 50 or so...got a huge load of hickory and oak today. Its stacked and covered, waiting to be burned.I got two fireplaces, mostly use them when the power goes out and that seems like it happens to often out here along the river.

Ages ago we had a wood fire- then hubb got tired of all the work so had it switched ove r to Gas ------- it never seemed to be as warm as the wood fires tho..amazing!!

but I wanna know whomever I send isn't gonna try to rob the ol guy of his pain meds or something.I plan to cut him up a bunch when I get down there.My van's still in the shop n the tranny out on Dad's truck but guess what???I do have some good news...Dad's not in restraints and hasn't been all day.Im prayin they've successfully medicated the halucinations away at least for a while.
I was checking out online special nursing home clothing that might be more comfortible for Dad and easier for the nurses to dress him.Im thinking I can sew them A LOT cheaper and more to his liking and while Im at it ,some for Uncle ,Momma n Stepdad,too.They're all having varying degrees of trouble dressing.Im sewing them rice bags to heat in the microwave and put on their joints as well.

I have a micro min pin named Gilligan.Boner would have been a good name for him...he's a 3 lb penis with ears on stilts.Humps everything.No joke.I can't keep weight on the boy for that reason and I have seen the dog with his hind feet in the air,standing on his head humping the air because he could not get inside "the menstral hut" a double fenced electrified pen used when a female comes in season cuz she's not spayed yet.
Zoe,I just sewed that dress for her yesturday and bought leopard print fleece to sew her a hooded{w cub ears} snowsuit.Gonna use that cup cake fabric to make 1 more dress and a pair of jammies.No,she's not rottenized nor ruinated!lol!I have pics of her admiring new clothing in the mirror,turning to see herself at different angles...witnesses too.And that bed of hers...God help the kitty that jumps into her playpen and tries to nap in her bed!Currently Raisin has been fighting with Strawberry over that same situation...the kitten hyjacks the puppy's bed and stretches out luxuriously.Raisin throws a fit tattling on the cat.If I don't make the cat move Raisin barks at her until she can't take it anymore then bites and tries to drag her out of it manually.Raisin will wear anything I put on her and show it off with the arrogance of a poodle fresh from the beauty parlor.I'm talking boots,slippers,bowes,wigs and hats.She's so funny!Ps...she's finally reached 5 inches tall...at 5 mos of age.

Ilet him go outside while I sit on the porch or deck and he will chase leaves for as long as we are out there. His other favorite thing is this toy I bough him with a battery operated tail that moves and spins...it is a cat toy, but he loves it.He fights it, snatches it up, carries it around and beats the living hell out of it! Hes a funny little dog!

We got big storms on the way cowboy! I got my generator ready, flashlights, etc...living on the river folks are used to getting hit with outages, just not this time of the year. Hell its approaching 70 degrees today!
I got a small basement so me and Boner will hunker down when the fun starts.

We got high winds last evening, Illinois (downriver) got the worst of it. I never lost power, cable or anything. Watched my Uk Wildcats spank Robert Morris 87-59, paybacks are hell (RM beat UK in the first game of the NIT last March).

I need to figure out how to make more toy designs for Raisin...she's so little nothing fit in her mouth.
Dad is doing so much better mentally that he saw the news and was worried for us.The nurse had to hold the phone to his ear.We're ok as is our homes,but my sister lost her search and rescue partner last night and out family a member of 16-17 years.Cookie was still active duty right up until her passing.A beautiful boarder collie.Im thinking there will be a write up in the local paper.You know,I believe almost all creatures do go to someplace we call Heaven,but for dogs like her?I really believe there's a special place in Heaven reserved just for them.I know Im gieveing this dog,but for some reason I feel numb.I have even cried but didn't feel the emotion that motivated the tears.

Your Duck Is Dead
A woman brought a very limp duck into a veterinary
surgeon. As she laid her pet on the table, the vet pulled
out his stethoscope and listened to the bird's chest.
After a moment or two, the vet shook his head and
sadly said, "I'm sorry, your duck, Cuddles, has
passed away."
The distressed woman wailed, "Are you sure?"
"Yes, I am sure. Your duck is dead," replied the vet.
"How can you be so sure?" she protested. "I mean
you haven't done any testing on him or anything.
He might just be in a coma or something."
The vet rolled his eyes, turned around and left the
room. He returned a few minutes later with a black
Labrador retriever. As the duck's owner looked on
in amazement, the dog stood on his hind legs, put his
front paws on the examination table and sniffed the
duck from top to bottom. He then looked up at the
vet with sad eyes and shook his head.
The vet patted the dog on the head and took it out
of the room. A few minutes later he returned with
a cat. The cat jumped on the table and also delicately
sniffed the bird from head to foot. The cat sat back
on its haunches, shook its head, meowed softly and
strolled out of the room.
The vet looked at the woman and said, "I'm sorry,
but as I said, this is most definitely, 100% certifiably,
a dead duck."
The vet turned to his computer terminal, hit a few keys
and produced a bill, which he handed to the woman..
The duck's owner, still in shock, took the bill. "$150!"
she cried, "$150 just to tell me my duck is dead!"
The vet shrugged, "I'm sorry. If you had just taken my
word for it, the bill would have been $20, but with the
Lab Report and the Cat Scan, it's now $150."
