I never give out my personal information (phone number or email address) to someone until we have at least sent a few messages back and forth online. I also won't give them that information until after I have seen a picture of them. If for some reason they don't have a picture on here it is just as easy to attach it here as it is to email or text it. I never let anyone know where I live until we have been on at least two dates.
So my question is how soon do you give out your personal information? The reason this has come up is because there are some that have a phone number listed on here.

It depends. But, for the most part we are similar in these aspects.

I don't give out my address to new men i meet because I've had stolkers and I have family. If I get close enough I'll give some info but only my close friends know were I live.

I don't think anybody should know where you live or have your phone number until you have actually met them in person. And, if your meeting somebody for the very first time and your acquaintance is the result of a social networking site, it should be in a public place where you arrive separate and go home separate the first few times.
I had a circumstance where the guy seemed reasonably decent. The first time in my house tho his demeanor changed and just barely passed my doorway he turned into a mauler.
I also, though, don't think it's wise to be pen pals for days. If a person will not meet you straight away, something is up.
I sometimes wish me and all my friends here were in happy, healthy relationships. I get tired of getting looked at sideways as people ask why I am single. It's like I have a disease.
Just say what I do: "I have not yet met the man that deserves to be as happy as I can make him" and, "I would rather be single than wish I was".

I don't mind giving out my cell right away. I think a five minute phone convensation is a better determiner if I would like to meet someone for a coffee break or lunch "meeting" than endless emails or internet chatting...my opinion.  . Never would I give out my address immediately.
