Does anyone know what it means if all your channels on your TV freeze? They were frozen for about 15 minutes and then they all came back. Does this mean I need a new TV? I have a Sanyo Integrated HDTV. Thanks.

I always use a power strip and it happened during regular programming... not a commercial. This has happened to me before a few times but just one random channel. This time it was all the channels.

If it is hooked up to tv service, it was a problem on their end. If it is hooked up to an antenna, it is a signal issue and communication problem between antenna and tv.

If you are using a Converter box try unplugging it, and then plugging it back in.
I had one that I had to unplug the electric cord for an hour to get it to reset.

If you have cable TV, the problem is in the cable company's equipment.
If you are using "OTA" TV there are many possible causes.
- Interference from:
- Compact fluorescent lamps (CFLs).
- LED "light bulbs".
- The OBCs in Dodge and Ford Diesel trucks.
- Neon signs.
There are many, many more but these are the most common ones.
